Anyone lately has had a virtual zoom interview without revealing too many specifics?
How about conditional offers? Anyone?

To all those still waiting: hang in there. Good news does come. There was about a year break here due to CV19. The agency hired some extra processors (contractors) to assist with contacting the applicants that completed medical, security, and were ready for EOD. Some of the applicants that cleared were done last year but there was an HR pause because of telework. Bottom line is if you cleared, you should be getting a call soon.

We will see what's next though! I've read on this forum previously that people who apply to the agency had received forms in the mail to fill out. Is this standard for everyone who applies to the agency today? Why wouldn't the agency just send the forms by email? There are ways to send documents by email using secure methods. And snail mail doesn't seem that secure. I applied and was taken by surprise as well. After I did the online test, out of the blue, someone called me (she said she was the recuiter and we talked interview style with the standard questions). I know my stuffs well so we ended up talking for like 45 minutes on the job etc. She told me that I would receive a package in the mail with forms to fill but so far 2.5 weeks later, nothing in the mail. I am used to it because I heave heard that they go really slowly. Right then on the phone she scheduled a zoom interview and gave me a time and date. Was a great conversation but so far nothing in the mail. 1 week left for the interview which i think they would send me an invite etc.

To all those still waiting: hang in there. Good news does come. This is awesome news….! Congratulations are in order..! My Poly/Med was in Nov 20, BI was completed in Feb 21, have been told that it’s about 12 mo (+/-) on adjudication timeframes. Did you have anything out of the ordinary on your BI? (Foreign contacts, etc) curious to see if yours was vanilla and took that long or if you had things they needed to work though (timeframe). Well- all in all… I’m sure it’s nice and feels great to be able to finally breathe a sigh of relief.

It was different before the Internet. They had no choice but to send it by mail or maybe by a special courier. But we're no longer in the Stone Age. And now that I mention special courier, I don't know why CIA conditional offers couldn't be delivered in person by,say, the closest FBI office or another federal law enforcement or military agency, at least for clandestine operations positions. This method of delivery would be a whole lot more secure than either the mail or email. |

You can send classified via FedEx, USPS, etc. No reason they couldn't send it via email but then what would you frame and put on your wall?

Generally when you used to have to go to the office in VA for interviews and if they were interested in you, they would ask you to stay behind and give you the COE right then; maybe it has changed.

They usually called beforehand when they were sending something, this time no heads up so I assume it will be a rejection letter. Edited by user Wednesday, September 29, 2021 1:11:45 PM(UTC)

Ah ok. I have heard people get rejection via email as well. Truly sometimes there are no rhyme or reason as to people getting rejected sometimes. I believe that interviewers can get intimidated by the applicant on some occasions. You also have to think that some people don't interview well period but they are very good at what they do.
End of the day, it depends a lot whether the interviewers feel like they want you and your recruiter who also has a lot of weight in terms of decision goes to bat for you. Its not magic.
