Internal Revenue Service
As a bureau of the Department of the Treasury and as one of the world's most efficient tax administrators, the IRS role is to help the large majority of compliant taxpayers with the tax law, while ensuring that the minority who are unwilling to comply pay their fair share. (Source: www.irs.gov)
This forum will allow you to share and ask job-related questions about this bureau. This is NOT the place to ask tax questions.

I received a text alert basically saying "a package is arriving from the IRS"
My tracking number even showed me where the UPS truck was located on the map the day of delivery. How were you able to set up tracking without a tracking number?

I submitted to my HR sponsor 2 requests (10/10, 10/18) to transfer to a POD closer to me after I received my TJO (9/29). I received my FO 10/18 and my request was approved 10/26. Depends on your EOD you may still have time to make a request. GL!

They were able to grant my first choice.

Hello everyone. I have recently received my firm offer for TCO in SBSD division in a Southern California location, EOD in first week of December, and was told by the hiring department in email that they will be mailing out equipments to me.
I am wondering whether the new hires will be teleworking from home, or have to work in the office setting. I emailed the hiring department a few times with my question with no response.

I think some people were saying it is teleworking for now but you might have to meet at your office. I think there are answers within these posts over the months.

Yes so far it’s teleworking and that the reason for the equipment being sent to you. The projected date to return to the actual location is some time in March

New RAs how long did it take to get access to SETR and HR? I was told it was automatic but I haven’t got access yet. I would like to look at my paycheck details and allocate my TSP funds.

I would like to look at my paycheck details and allocate my TSP funds. You have to request access to it. It takes several days for approval and then they will send you temporary login information. You don't allocate TSP funds on SETR, you have to go to the specific TSP website.

I would like to look at my paycheck details and allocate my TSP funds. My Employee Personal Page thru NFC USDA website is used for W2's, bi-weekly leave statements, TSP elections, and Financial allotments. SETR is strictly payroll reporting. You can sign up directly with MyEpp on the website. (just google it)

I was freaking out at first but then notice it was for a different grade and location. If we get selected for a certain grade and location, I'm guessing they will send out these emails for the remaining grades/locations we applied to.
