I've been a permanent GS employee for several years. I just got a tentative offer for a promotion to a completely different agency, and they're offering 100% remote work with my home as my duty station.
My concern is what happens if, for whatever reason, the agency changes its mind months or years from now and switches my duty station to the office (a 2-3 hour drive from home).
My questions are:
1) How often does this happen?
2) Is there any recourse other than trying to find another job?
3) Are there any questions about this arrangement I need to ask before accepting?
Thanks.
