Any reason to wear anything other than casual/athletic clothes (i.e. business attire) to the medical exam?

Just had my medical and everything went perfect except for the breathing lung test. I misunderstood what to do on the test and scored low on it. The doctor asked if I was a smoker and I said I had never smoked in my life and he said I had scored low on the breathing test. I had no idea I was supposed to blow hard after holding in my breadth and thought it was about duration. So am I screwed? Will this fail me for medical?

I did the opposite; I blew as hard as I could and didn’t leave anything for the duration.

CHS makes the call, they’ll send you a letter telling you if you’re cleared or not. If cleared, great, no worries. If not, they’ll detail why and what you can do. Scoring low isn’t the same as failing the entire medical. Probably should have asked for a retest when the doctor mentioned it. Edited by user Tuesday, December 28, 2021 3:21:30 PM(UTC)

I did ask if I could retest and he told me he didn’t think it was necessary…

Burying the lede with that detail.
Either way nothing to do until CHS sends the letter. If the doc wasn’t concerned, I probably wouldn’t be either.

Sorry didn’t mean to leave that detail out. Just didn’t know if I should trust the doc on that or not.

Don’t know if they’re doing 2 to a room at FLETC right now. Pre-COVID you could have a room to yourself or have a roommate.
I think right now you can leave base on weekends. But again the policy changes often at FLETC.

How long does it typically take to hear back on pass/fail of Initial Job Simulation assessment? Following up on this - Received automated email on Tues. (1/4) stating I am tentatively eligible for GL-9 and that HR would review and determine a referral vs. not.

I posted this earlier but for some reason it never actually posted. Has anyone heard anything about their firm offer yet?

Waiting for the results of the medical and see if I have to complete any followups. I was thinking I’d call CHS in a week to confirm that they received the medical documents from the exam. Thoughts on the current CR ending Feb 18? Wonder if we’ll get FOs before a new budget is passed.

Anyone know how long after medical follow ups it takes to hear if you are cleared? All my doctors signed off, but still nervous waiting to see if I’m cleared.

How long after your first medical appointment did you find out about follow-ups? I did my initial evaluation on 1/5/22, but haven't heard anything since then.
