Internal Revenue Service
As a bureau of the Department of the Treasury and as one of the world's most efficient tax administrators, the IRS role is to help the large majority of compliant taxpayers with the tax law, while ensuring that the minority who are unwilling to comply pay their fair share. (Source: www.irs.gov)

Ok. When can we new IRS folks expect our first check? I bank with USAA and it’s a day early when I was at DoD. Monday is the EFT, so maybe tomorrow afternoon?

USAA is all veterans ... so likely DoD gives them priority!

Depends on when your bank posts it. Navy Federal usually shows the pending at some point on Friday and posts on Monday.

Thanks for the replies. I am use to an LES 2 days before payday but this NFC is an odd thing. I hope they didn’t mess up my first paycheck.

"Pay day" is significantly later than when it posts to your bank. For example, my most recent stub shows an official pay date of January 13 2022, but that deposit posted to my Navy Federal account on 01/10/2022. Having just logged in to Navy Fed, I can see the pending deposit for January 24.

As a new hire I didn't see a Check for one month at my former Agency. After two weeks I told them I was thinking of leaving, there was no real concern~

I bank with USAA also. I generally have access to my$$ Friday by 1800 hours. Once in awhile monday. USAA general sees the incoming federal pay and just releases it. I don’t know about other banks. That said, you thought you got paid to work at the IRS? Just kidding

My deposits go to a USAA checking account. Last Friday it was at 9:24am. I've checked the last half dozen or so and they mostly hit the account before noon PST but always on Friday.

There went my streak. Lol. Mine was 4 hours later than usual today. 130pm instead of 930am. Similar to you it had been steady at 930am +- 5 minutes for the last several pay periods.
