Still waiting in background.... I've been in background since Aug 2020, so it's been over a year. I had to go to my RA back in Nov to re-sign my SF-86. They said back in Sept that my case is being expedited. No idea what that means. But I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone has to say about Q this Feb!

My poly was in the fall of 2019 and background didn't get started until December (mix-ups)... and adjudication was in the spring last year. Some of us, for whatever reason, just take longer to get through the process! Your turn will come. Hang in there!

If you look a few pages back over in the 2021 SA thread, you’ll see that multiple people said things are back to normal in this regard (allowed to leave on weekends starting on the third weekend).

As of end of November, quarantine and weekend restrictions were lifted. But that was, of course, pre-Omicron. With case numbers at an all time high, I'm not sure about current restrictions.

I was under the impression that the next class began 2/13/22. Do SA applicants and IAs begim at the same time?

It hasn't been separate for a long time and I don't think they would start doing it that way now. I believe everyone will start on 2/13, and I think cmar just typed the date for the FJOs wrong (2/18 instead of 1/18), right?

I’m to receive my FJO by February 18, and I’m to report February 27. |

Oh, that's weird then. I guess there are a couple possibilities: either IAs are starting two weeks later than SAs for some reason, or the class date has been pushed back to 2/27 for everyone and none of the SA applicants have been informed of this yet.

I am cleared! Now I need to pick my dates for Q.... was it relatively easy to ask for later dates? I've been given the choice for the summer classes, but I was hoping to go a little bit later because of my job now....
Looking forward to seeing what everyone has to say about Q! |

Looking forward to seeing what everyone has to say about Q! When I was first contacted about class, I was upfront to explain my circumstances. There was absolutely willingness, encouragement even, in my case to schedule a different class from what I was initially offered. Don't hesitate to ask! It may not work out the same for you as it did for me, but I don't think it's a bad idea to ask.

Just wanted to confirm other IAs slated for February academy were also given a start date of the 27th despite SAs reporting on the 13th. |

You aren't the only one - FreeLocke mentioned the 27th as well. I'd imagine there are others also scheduled for the 27th. I'm curious to learn if there's any reason for the difference in start dates!
