I haven't heard anything since Thanksgiving either. Wonder if things maybe slowed down because of the holidays. Like a lot of people have said before, I'm sure it's nothing to worry about and being patient is the best way to approach all of this. Hope you see some movement soon!

I got an interview last week from a field office in the mid-west. They had been in my "under review for" for a while now. I've been added to some new locations in the past few weeks but has definitely slowed down lots from earlier in the fall. Hopefully this is a sign that many are going to get started on interviews soon!

Hey y’all so I was able to get an update so far, I am now under review for 19 positions from various field offices. I was under review for 5 yesterday.. that’s the only movement i’ve had on my end so far.

WOW! You went from 5 to 19. That is awesome. More managers looking at your application. I have been at 2 since before Christmas. No new positions were added for me and no interview requests. But wishing you good luck!

Hey all,

Wondering what everyone thinks about cover letters? I applied for the OST position which didn't ask me for a CL, however I see we can upload attachments. Would love thoughts on this.

Did anyone receive a job offer (through email) only to get ghosted after? Like what’s up with that? I’m already in the Bureau as an intern and they said they can’t give me any updates on the position because it’s “pending further review from the division”. I received the offer in September and it’s now February 2022

I attached one, I believe I followed an FBI template for that but I can't remember off the top of my head. I also applied for OST positions and even though it wasn't required I figured it couldn't hurt. I don't see a downside to adding one.

Hello,
I was wondering if anybody had any insight to this - I have been qualified for a position since Sept. 2021 but when I looked this morning that position has been removed from my Qualified For tab. Does anybody know why this would have happened, or has anyone else had this happen to them?

I just checked mine and the same thing happened to me, it was the only one where I was not being referred to a certain area for too. Maybe they just don't need to fill the positions anymore!

I just checked. No change on my page. Still qualified, but no activity since Thanksgiving.

I am no longer qualified for the security specialist position in spite of being under review for the position at two field offices. The only movement I’ve seen recently is that I’m under review for a second position at an east coast office, within the last two weeks or so. I’ve emailed 4 points of contact from across the country in the last month and none of them have gotten back to me at all. I haven’t received any outright rejection emails but it does seem like that’s what’s happening

I just got an email about scheduling a day for an telephone interview! The "under review" stuff has not changed for me since quite a few months ago, so I wouldn't be super worried about that.

I just had another job disappear from my 'Qualified' tab, but that one and the SS role still show up in my 'Under Review' tab. I wonder if I am truly no longer qualified or if all the spots are full. Strange that some people still show that they are qualified for those positions.

The difference in the timelines from last year to this year are still interesting to me, too. We are just starting to get interviews now (at least, according to the sample on this site) while last year applicants were contacted in Nov/Dec with only a few in Jan/Feb. Hoping it picks up soon!

On Reddit, some folks are saying they’d been interviewed a while ago, but a few people mention recent interviews and one person says a recruiter told them we should be hearing back soon regarding what our status is (though take that with a grain of salt!!)

I also had something else fall from my qualified tab but not from my under review tab. In previous years though I’ve seen folks say they only got interviewed for or offered OST positions, except potentially in some rare cases. This is my first year applying, so I of course have no idea /really/.

On the CHI 2021 page so many people are posting that the background investigations take 7-11 months and then they are approved for hire, but haven't heard back about actually being appointed a position anywhere. Does anybody have info on this? Im curious if the process will take ~1yr from being interviewed before actually hiring or if it is backed up because of Covid. Or am I the only one who assumed there would be a starting date a few months post graduation after being given a CJO?

Is anyone who applied to the Boston FO under review there/heard from them? My page has never shown that FO under review, so I'm wondering if they haven't gotten to CHI 22 applications yet. Feel free to PM me if you don't want to publicly say where you applied! Thanks!
