Hi,
I have been a GS-14 for over three years without any supervisory experience until recently. As of six months ago, I started doing detail positions as a supervisor. The HR folks tell me that I will not get an updated SF-50 because it's not a promotion. However, my current SF-50 shows me as a Bargaining Unit (BU) employee and my series, as the detail, hasn't been reflected. I'm a 0301 now but the detail position is 1550 Supervisory Computer Scientitst.
I did receive SF-82 form that reflects this; however, USAJOBS never really asks for the most recent SF-82, they ask for SF-50. Am I being paranoid, or should I fight to get the series, grade, and BU/NBU updates on the SF-50? How can I prove my supervisory experience other than putting it on my resume? Should I just combine my SF-50 with SF-82 and upload the combined version when asked on applications?
Any suggestions? |
Check my course on Udemy, just search Google for "Udemy Equipment Specialist." |

Any suggestions? I can see potential LR issues. You would need to no longer be in the bargaining unit while acting as a supervisor. And a SF52 would need to cut doing that. Any adverse actions you do while still in the bargaining unit could be challenged by the union, and overturned, and so on. I'll leave it to the HR gurus here (especially those with ER/LR backgrounds) to weigh in here. I'd say without a SF50 saying you are a supervisor, you aren't one regardless of what the SF82 says (of course, the only SF82 I could find on google was for collection of motor vehicle data and is no longer in use). A SF182 is for training..., so could you clarify what form you are claiming to have? |

You are not restricted to only providing SF-50s. If you have other documentation showing the supervisory experience, attach them to the application,
