Hey all, starting the process! Everyone's tips on fitness and testing have been super helpful to read through.
I applied last Friday and was offered P1 a few hours later. Most of the timelines I've seen in people's posts have at least a month or so between app and P1, so I'm wondering if anything has changed to accelerate their process? |

From what I’ve seen, most people get through Phase 1 fairly quickly due to being able to schedule the date you take the test. Depending on the size of your Field Office, they may not have Meet & Greets every month like some of the bigger ones probably do. Timelines start to change significantly after Phase 2 is over and background starts.

I was curious I was told you are not allowed to be hired out of the office you are processed. Is this true? I am going to be processed out of the New York office and was wanting to work in New York as well.

Its based on the needs at the time though. The brochure also states that if you want NYC, you'll get it lol

Anyone have boot recommendations for Q? I’m quite the novice when it comes to anything boot related. |

Just checked my portal and I have a date update from yesterday and background investigation has a green checkmark next to it. I know I'm a little a head of myself but everytime I've seen someone here bring this up they report passing their background a week or two later. PFT scheduled for June 10th.

Would you be comfortable sharing your timeline? Always nice to get more datapoints to read the tea leaves of the process haha

It's been a very slow process for me but a lot of that was Covid slowing down everything. M&G pushed back, Phase 2 delayed because they didn't have a physical location to hold it for months, background took a little over a year. It really is a case of just forget about it, keep working out and one day you'll get an update e-mail out of nowhere asking you to do 5 things in 2 days then silence for months.

If you have a September target date email for Q, but they offer you another (sooner) date last minute (e.g. say they offer you the July 31 class on like July 25), if you turn that down are you still likely to get offered September? I understand that generally if you turn down a date you aren't necessarily guaranteed the next class, but I didn't know if it was any different in a case where they offer you a last minute class when you were targeted for a different one because someone dropped out (since it is kind of understandable if someone can't drop there whole life months before they expected to on less than a week's notice, including breaking their lease, getting a storage unit, getting movers, etc.). Just wondering if anyone had any idea of what the policy is on this. Edited by user Tuesday, May 17, 2022 1:45:37 PM(UTC)

You shouldn’t have any issues. |

Anybody have any idea how long it generally takes to get a M&G slot? Its been a couple weeks and the portal is still telling me there are no available slots to schedule at this time.

Passed my PFT on the first try yesterday with 10 points! Have definitely been doing push-ups with the wrong form... I am heading to medical next week but do not graduate from grad school until December. Applicant coordinators at M&G told me I should be OK to push Q until after I graduate (i.e. Jan 2023).
Has anyone else successfully pushed their date due to conflicts? I'm hoping they don't make it difficult to delay me a bit!

It is my understanding that in general the FBI will forward onboarding information once you get a final offer (general packing list, etc.) but I feel I remember seeing someone post that their Field Office brought the new hire and their significant other in to the field office to answer questions right before going to Q.
Does anyone else remember hearing or seeing anything like that be spoken about? Was wondering if that’s something that is done.
