For the past 3 months I’ve noticed that my compensation gets reduced each month.
Anyone know why this is happening?

Could be changes in your health insurance (FEHB) premiums or your life insurance (FEGLI) premiums.

FEHB changes are easier to spot because they usually occur with the January payment. Even if you did not make an open season change, FEHB premiums always go up.

FEGLI ones generally change when your age band changes, which happens every five years. For example, depending upon your FEGLI options, you may notice an increased deduction for the premiums the month after you reach age 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55 or 60.

There are other possibilities, of course, but these two are the main ones, especially if the reductions that you are noticing are fairly modest.

Please note that the OWCP payment system automatically implements these kinds of changes based upon the code being used for your FEHB plan or the FEGLI options you have. The CE would be completely unaware of these changes as they occur as it is not something that requires a manual intervention on his or her part.
