Well looks like FLETC is shutting down or locking down....it's up in the air so you may have more time than you think.

I see there are due dates for me coming up next week for the COE signature, Lautenberg Certification and the Appointment Affidavit. However, they also say to sign them when you receive your firm offer. Is it ok to sign them now or should I wait?

Has anyone who has completed the medical heard anything back yet, or know how long it takes to get any notifications once completed?

I got my medical done on 5/18, with the follow-up TB reading on 5/20. Heard back from CHS on 5/23 telling me that my depth perception test wasn't done and something was done incorrectly with one of the blood tubes, so I was required to provide another sample. Did the depth perception and the extra blood draw on 5/24. Not expecting to hear anything for atleast another 10-15 days.

I had my medical on the same day and TB reading on the 20th as well. I didn't get a confirmation of CHS receiving anything, so I assume they have everything they need from the place I did the physical. I will continue to hurry up and wait.

Interesting, looks like I can finally post on here lol. I have a BS in Business and an MBA, combined I meet the accounting requirements. I've been working in accounting and finance during and after my education. I've been snooping around on Fed Soup for the last 2 years. Just wanted to say thank you to everyone that replies and posts on here. It broke my heart when I didn't make it the first time, and I was even hesitant to apply again. The wait times were horrendous, but I'm kind of used to them now. My heart still skips a beat every time I open my email. This is the dream job I didn't know existed until I accidentally stumbled upon it. The application process was straightforward. Like previous users posted just use common sense and do your research for the exams. There is a bunch of phenomenal information buried in this forum and online. Practice for the interview, and sell yourself. I accepted the TO as soon as I found out about it and started filling out the docs ASAP. I got a call and email about drug test and took it that same day. E-QIP took a long time to complete, I had issues logging in which took a day to resolve and then another day to complete. Honestly this background check is what I'm worried about the most. My medical took 2 hours to complete, the worst test was the Spirometry one. Now the waiting game continues.....

Here's my journey so far:
2020: 12 - month roster
Application #1 – late 8/20
Phase 2, job simulation – mid 9/20
Phase 2, results, passed – mid 10/20
Phase 3, SA KASE – late 1/21
Phase 3, results, passed, B Category – late 3/21
Phase 4, interview – mid 4/21
Phase 4, results, not selected – mid 5/21

2021: 12/3-12/19
Application #2 – mid 12/21
Phase 2, job simulation – mid 12/21
Phase 2, results, passed – late 1/22
Phase 3, SA KASE – late 1/22
Phase 3, Results – Provisional Status, Eligible - mid 3/22
Phase 3, Results – Referral Status, Referred - mid 3/22
Phase 4, Scheduled interview - late 3/22
Phase 4, Interview – early 4/22
Tentative Offer – late 4/22
First set of Docs – early 5/22
Drug test – early 5/22
e-QIP – early 5/22
Medical Exam – mid 5/22
FO - ???
EOD - ???
FLETC - ???

Just finished all my steps and waiting for my FO. Anyone have a rough idea how long it takes to get the call?

Based on previous posts for previous announcements, it would take 2-3 weeks after medical to get the call, assuming no medical issues. Those who had to follow up with medical and successfully did so afterwards would receive the call within a week after submitting the additional paperwork.

Personally, I don't know if I'm now awaiting the call or a medical follow up, since I don't think I did the spirometry (breathing/lung capacity) test the correct way, as the nurse didn't tell me I was supposed to blow as hard and as fast as I could. Not gonna lie - I'm a little spooked out. Only time will tell.

I definitely bombed the vision portion of the medical. Curious to see what happens.

I received my packet from CHS showing results of all blood work. There wasn’t anything indicating I need to go see a specialist for anything? I’m assuming I’m cleared

That is what I have been told - you should be all set if you did not have any follow-ups with that packet!

I just received my packet from CHS and have a follow-up for lasik. For me, they sent the follow-up documents at the front of the packet with the instructions for the doctor to fill out. Unfortunately for me, I won't be able to make an appointment until next week.

I did. I rushed through it and only picked up on the first three. Haven't heard back from CHS yet on how much of an issue it is but hopefully I can get a chance to do it again and get cleared from an eye doctor. I also had lasik done in January so I'm sure I'll have to follow up on a couple of things when they get back to me.

I agree that the spirometry test was really tough, and the nurses weren't the best at explaining it. I had issues where my tongue would move towards the end and it kept saying i had a throat obstruction. After getting it wrong the first couple times i think i did well. It's just so damn hard blowing super hard at first, then theres no air left in lungs =[. I wear contacts so vision test was easy with them, but when I took them off I realized how bad my vision was, hope that wont be too much of an issue. I read somewhere that you need to have contacts for at least a year. Which is good bc i've had mine for 2 years. The depth perception test wasn't too bad for me the first couple were easy, then i had to REALLY look at the rest and focus to find the ones. Also the hearing test had some issues, I could definitely still hear things outside the noise capsule, but wearing earplugs beforehand definitely helped. I think I saw an earlier comment about not hearing back from interview? Well anyway first go around it took me a month to get rejected, and a couple weeks to get the TO this time. Don't lose faith!

Hope everyone's morale is still up!

I had no issues with vision, including depth perception. My test was made up of six plates, each containing four shapes. One of the four shapes would be distanced a little farther than the other three. The nurse told me I got all six correct. Not sure if this was the depth perception test everyone else took.

For those of you that are concerned, I remember reading somewhere that the IRS's depth perception standard is 100 seconds of arc or better. An eye doctor I recently visited checked my depth perception on a ten-plate test where one of many circles would be elevated. She told me that 100 seconds of arc started at the fourth plate (out of ten) on the test I took, so it seems like the standard isn't the hardest to meet. If you receive a follow-up for depth perception, a simple retest at an eye doctor should suffice to get you cleared.

Spirometry is what I tanked. Echoing anon on this, the nurses weren't the best at explaining what to do. Still haven't received my CHS results. I took the advice of others and signed up for UPS to track an incoming packages. It's really useful - it shows if you're expecting something via UPS as soon as a shipper (in our case, CHS) creates a UPS label in your name. I am expecting my package by Monday, so fingers crossed!
