futurefbiagent2018: Msdivers4's answer was generic. But it was generic for a reason. You can't and shouldn't divulge or disclose any specific information about the interview to anyone. As you can't and shouldn't divulge or disclose any information about the assessment tests.

Msdivers4: Excellent answer! Keep it vague and generic. Don't provide any specific information to anyone. Each applicant will find out in time what the interview and assessments are like.

The assessments and interview questions samples are on the website by the way. Also, your recruiter should provide you with specific information. In addition, glassdoor provides tons of questions DI were asked during the interview process. Chill bro. its not the NSA. LOL

In GearUp's defense the Non-disclosure's we sign are pretty specific. Therefore, not worth jeopardizing our integrity. It might seem trivial but worth mentioning.

Heads up, don’t ever insult gearup on this board. As someone who provides us a wealth of knowledge from direct experience, he’s earned his respect from all of us who have been here. Plus, I’d take the advice given. He’s never been wrong.

Also note, you’re asking to be approved for a top secret clearance but then asking for info we’ve been told we can’t share. Think about it.

You are free to use what ever information you find I guess. I wouldn't trust it though. But I seriously doubt any applicant is going to give you an unfair advantage.

2015 applicant here... Cassandra is correct. GearUp has given excellent advice and information. This forum is the best source of information. It's kept me up to date. Good luck to all, and have patience.

I’m not even going to argue with you. All I’m going to say is that for those of us who have made it to this point know what we can and can’t share. If you see info about interview questions, etc in other places, great. But when you’re told information is non public, you don’t share it.

I, like many others, come to this board for comradery. We’re all going through a long, hard process and it’s nice to have people, like GearUp, who work in the position we want to get into sharing what they can with us. It’s also nice to bond with our fellow future classmates through the shared experience. We’re going to be a team one day and attitudes and negativity aren’t going to help that.

Congrats to all who have gotten a preference sheet! I had a question, did anyone who has gotten a preference sheet happen to not meet with a background investigator? I ask that because I received the interim clearance paperwork a while back, but have never heard from any investigator. I just had a clearance completed back in May with another agency. Thanks in advance

I have not met with an investigator and have not received any interim paperwork. I have received a preference sheet for the last 2 or 3 classes and have not gotten an offer as of yet. Receiving a preference sheet is definitely not a guarantee of getting an offer.

I wonder how many of us 2015’s are out there waiting. My background was done back in February and the last I heard is that OPM has not sent it bac yet? Any more folks in my shoes?

Gear,

Will there be more classes coming in 2018? I thought Diversion would be beefed up due to opium epidemic. Any information would be great.

As mentioned in my previous post, I was supposed to have my BI interview back in September but since I moved, my case was re-assigned. I have been playing phone tag with my new investigator as I have been working out of town. At any rate, here to post that my BI interview is tomorrow morning.

And Cassandra... right on!

Similar. 2015 applicant, but according to OPM my background was sent for adjudication in July. I received the interim clearance sheet in August, all of my references were contacted, but no word after that.

I'm a 2015 application and had my interview a few months ago. Received a preference sheet for the last class and this one as well.

Does anyone know if you can be assigned to ANY of the locations listed on the preference sheet? I ask because some of the locations are listed as "xxxx Division," "xxxx District Office" or "xxxx Resident Office." Not sure if personnel can be assigned to Division offices or if they are only assigned to one type of office.

Njw85,
Who told you that OPM has not sent it back yet? I haven’t heard anything about my background for a good while, so I’d like to speak to the proper POC for info on it.
