I did my psi around the same time as you. Didn’t do my poly til 2/6. I’m jealous of your quick timeline!

Adjudicated is just a synonym for result. But the word is just used to determine whether or not you passed your background check to get your clearance.

Hello,

By any chance has anyone encountered an e-mail sent out by accident? I am still in my BI and an e-mail was sent out that I was not selected to participate in the program and to apply next year. Yet a day later a two other of my references were interviewed, so I just wanted to know if anyone had this issue. I have contacted my local FO and haven't heard anything back. Thank you to anyone who can give me an insight!

I got the same message, and I am in the BI section now. In my case it was because I had sent two different applications because I messed up on one. My FO told me it was because I had submitted two applications and not to worry about it.

For those who want to know the definite results for your poly, email your POC they most likely already have the results.

I do believe that is only for full time employees, not interns

I too read something about this in the handbook, but from my understanding, only the interns at Quantico can attend. I’m not sure if it’s mandatory for them though.

I am going to be at Quantico. I already live near the Laboratory in Stafford, if anyone wants a suggestion on a good apartment complex to live in send me a message. DC is expensive and the traffic is terrible, I would highly suggest living in or near Stafford, VA. Like I said if anyone wants help send me a message!

I just met my investigator on accident in person at school. While he was conducting interviews.

I had my PSI yesterday and my Poly today. The polygrapher told me my polygraph was inconclusive. He said he didn’t know if it was because of my medications for PTSD or if because of my marital problems or what, but that I was all over the place and the readings didn’t make any sense. He said he had to send it to HQ for verification and that I will be rescheduled for another polygraph in about 2-3 weeks with another examiner. As he was leaving he asked me about what year I developed PTSD for clarification. He had also told me that his background was in cognitive psychology and that sometimes our emotions induce physical responses. He was a very stand up guy and I believe he honestly thought I was being honest, which I definitely was. Has anyone else had an inconclusive result?

My first test was also inconclusive! I passed the second time, about two weeks later.

Thanks for your quick reply! I wonder if doing the PSI and Poly so close together is what tripped me up. I thought it would be better to get it out of the way, but after the PSI and feeling like a squashed ant maybe I should have waited. I feel guilty for things I admitted to and did 20 years ago. Lol

Of course! The PSI wrecked my nerves, but no where near as bad as my first polygraph. I was so intimidated and I was freaking out about a possible failure, because it could sever any ties for the FBI in the future. Getting an inconclusive made me feel weirdly guilty even though I had nothing to feel guilty about. I definitely think some waiting between tests and interviews is needed. I researched other career paths in my two weeks, so when I went in for my second polygraph, I was calmer. At the end of the day, its not the end of the world or my life to not get a job, no madly how badly I want it. Honestly, I think the only thing that got me through my second polygraph was acceptance for whatever came next.

So my agent that did mine, told me I was all
over the place and after the test he said that he had to go check with someone else because there were so many inconsistantes in my results. He left the room and came back and said I was lucky that we almost had to scrap my test and that I had a passable score but barely. He told me worst case scenario they would
call me within a week and let me reschedule if HQ didn’t find my scores passable. It’s been over a week and I have heard nothing
