Social Security Administration

The Social Security Administration (SSA) is an independent agency of the United States federal government that administers Social Security, a social insurance program consisting of retirement, disability, and survivors' benefits. To qualify for these benefits, most American workers pay Social Security taxes on their earnings; future benefits are based on the employees' contributions. (Source: Wikipedia)

Did anyone apply for the Claims Specialist position in NYC that recently closed?
If so, have you heard back from anyone?

Does anyone know when training begins? How well do you have to do on the assessment?

Yep. Nope.

Dunno, probably months from now.

Dunno.

lol

But seriously, I applied for these jobs 2 years ago, passed the panel interview, they didn't use these assessment test6s, I wonder how this will change the interview/selection/hiring process?

Training starts October so I’ve heard. But people will probably be hired before then and shadow employees or do simple stuff

In NY you learn all titles of social security as well in NJ they are only teaching one as of the last class. Training for Brooklyn and Queens is in Jamaica NY and I’m unsure where training is for Manhattan and the Bronx but I will assume Manhattan

No I haven’t heard anything. I applied to this announcement and also the NJ announcement as well. Did anyone receive a test score at the completion of the assessment?

They started interviewing for Benefit Authorizers this week and are still in the early stages of interviewing. I was told training could start any time up until Sept. 30th, as the new budget begins Oct. 1st.

I got a call as well, just didn't have time to call back today.

What locations did you apply for?
