I recommend looking at 2017 and 2016 threads to get an idea as to the timeline. If you just applied in the last few months, I would not count on hearing anything until March/April 2019.

Applied 9/14/18; silence on the net. Based on previous threads, I'm not expecting anything until St. Paddy's Day 2019. I check FBIJobs about once or twice a month to see if there are any updates to the process tracker (there have been none).
I'm with you guys; just gonna ride this out for at least 6 months.
Good luck.

How do you know this? Since before they did away with it I couldn't even get to Phase I. I would get an email saying basically "You're ineligible for FBI employment due to a past failed polygraph" but since 2009 / 2010 I've been interviewed / tested at least three times.

Thanks! Are you aware of any instances of an FBI applicant who failed the polygraph and was disqualified ever re-applying and getting hired? |

Congratulations and good luck!
Thanks for the heads up.
Time to start checking the application status now and then. Maybe this will be my lucky year!

Thank you and yes hopefully it will be a lucky year for all of us! The logical reasoning part of the test kinda makes me a lil nervous but hopefully its not too bad.

Wanted to throw my timeline in the ring for reference
Applied: 11/5 Phase I: 11/17 M&G: 12/11
Background - 6 years Military Intel, 5 years HR/Recruiting, BS - Marketing.
I'm a little all over the place, I can easily see the process going either way, to be honest. I've seen some folks with crazy good credentials, but this is a job that would be well worth me investing time in regardless.
Cheers to all of you on here, and I wish you all the best of luck. |
APP - 11/8 P1 - 11/17 M&G - 12/11

Applied - 9/29 Phase 1 - 12/6
Honestly, to me, this is moving faster than expected. I was expecting this to move slower. Good luck to everyone! |

Changed to IA Assessment Phase 1 this afternoon. Something I read in the status description bothers me: "Applicants who do not pass are eligible to retest one additional time one year after their first session. After two failures, you will be discontinued from the application process permanently." I've never seen this before. Is this a change? I've understood previously that if you fail P1 you can reapply to new postings after a year, but does this now mean if you fail two P1 assessments you're permanently barred from any and all FBI employment? If so that recalls the time when if you failed one FBI poly you were barred for life but thankfully they revoked that as I said in a prior posting.
