Good Evening all,

I cannot seem to find this anywhere, however, I am a long term TDY for four months. I was staying at a hotel relatively close to my TDY location (less than five miles). Is there anything prohibiting the amount of distance I choose to stay from the TDY location as long as I don’t incur any additional expenses to the government. I understand of course if the per diem rate is higher I only get that of where my TDY is located and I am responsible for the difference (which isn’t the case here). But are there any other rules or regs outlying how far I can stay? Has anyone ran into any issues?

I am with DHS. Thanks,
FatHappyCat

There isn't but if you use concur, you have to select one of the hotels listed.
