I remember someone saying a couple months ago that an FO had said December. I hope it's not January, just more time to wait and wonder whether I should contact someone to say to use my phone instead of my email in case it doesn't come through if I get it, haha.

Has anyone heard back? My application is still showing "Contact your recruiter or applicant coordinator". I've heard from a friend that the shutdown may slow down the hiring process so I'm just curious at this point.

Mine still says “under review” and hasn’t changed since I applied. I’m unsure of when we will start hearing back unfortunately.

New poster here, but I've been following along for a while and it took a while to get "validated" to be able to post.
Based on looking at Galgirl123's other posts (from her profile) I would hazard to guess that she got hired for the Internship. If she did indeed get hired into the Collegiate Hiring Initiative, congrats.
However, I myself am at the same point as many of you. I applied 10/10/18 and the status still says "Under Review".
I would bet that MVG is correct in saying the gov't shutdown might be slowing the process. I'm not holding my breath, but hopefully at least one of us will hear back something this month or in February.
Any other updates are appreciated.

She definitely got hired for the internship program. If you look through the 2018 Collegiate Hiring Initiative thread, almost no one got a response within half a year or more of waiting.
It seems like they always put priority in the internships first, because a lot of those interns are going to be offered full-time positions at the end. The Collegiate Hiring Initiative feels like it only exists to fill up the handful of remaining open positions that are left over.
I'm not too optimistic at this point.

Looks like they're processing CHI apps now. Got a call from my local FO and an interview scheduled for next week. |

I should add that it was my top choice FO. This app is different than other FBI positions in that the applicant gets to choose where they go. So if your top FO doesn't have a CHI slot open, you may not get a call.
Also, for call screeners like myself, look up your preferred FO phone number and add it to your contacts if you haven't already done so. I only answered because 'FBI' popped up on caller ID. lmao. |

Left a voice message inquiring about IA and CHI. Never heard back. I'm always shocked when I see ppl in other threads saying they called and talked to someone. |
