Congrats! When did you test? I'm between Cleveland and Cincinnati. If I pass I may see you at the PIII interview.

Also, this sort of answers our question about the shutdown affecting selection....

I tested on December 8th. So a little over a month ago! I hope to hear more good results coming in.

Oh wow! A big congrats, @Inc95 & @Nick_CPA -- I'm glad to hear some good p2 news. I've read elsewhere that there is only a 40% passing rate on the exam, so you guys should definitely give yourselves some kudos.

@Bruce I guess it does! I'm glad to see that some assessments are coming through to answer that question for us. Hopefully you and @Dune26 will hear back soon.

I also hope you hear back soon, mst2018!

Seems like the turnaround time for the mid-December tests was around 16 business days, so roughly three weeks.

If that holds true, I should hopefully hear back late next week or the week after that...

Yeah, those guys only started hearing back in February the following year for P1. Didn't someone post earlier that there is a glut of 2016 candidates that the Bureau is still trying to place in classes? I recall the live stream video saying that each class only had 40 IAs to 160 SAs - surely, the obvious solution would be tweaking the IA ratio to include more candidates to reduce the backlog?

I hope that the faster turnaround time also extends to the BI, but can't think too much about that when my P2 pass/fail status is still unknown. :P

Time certainly seems to drag by when you are waiting, but then it flies as the status changes happen. My PI and PII happened so quickly and now it seems to be taking forever to find out my fate.

PII was completed on 12/18 so I know that time is counting down for me; good luck 12/16 folks!

Before I know it, the email will hit me and I will either meet some of you in person or get back in line and do it all over again next cycle.

Question for those with PII results; did they come in at 0100AM or sporadically throughout the day?

I can't figure out how to add comments or create my own posts yet, so if I did this wrong, please forgive me. I'll figure it out eventually. Anyway, I'm in central Ohio as well. I think those who are guessing they're going in order from date of application may be wrong. I applied on the very last day the post was open (10/15/2018) and received the invite for P1 on 12/13/2018. I took P1 on 12/28/2018 then P2 on 01/05/2019, so I am (like many of you) waiting on the pass/fail e-mail. I also do not think their selection process goes in alphabetical order because if it did, I would likely be in the top 5. I'm so excited yet so nervous. This process is truly a test to my patience. Thankfully I have a job that pays pretty well, so I can just hang out here until I hear back. Best of luck to you all! I'll be following closely as you continue to post your results. :)

Luckily, I too have a decent paying job and can play the waiting game also. The result will roll in, I know that; I just wish someone on here got the 'yes' already...

@Inc95, @ Nick_CPA, and anyone else who has already passed Phase II-- first off, congratulations and I hope you do well going forward. Could you comment, within reason, on how you thought you did on the second exam? Did you finish everything, were you surprised with the result? What were your thoughts afterward and did you think you did well enough or not so well?

For me, I thought Phase II was decent. I finished everything, though I didn’t focus much on spelling/grammar. I pretty much wanted to be persuasive as much as possible (that’s what I learned when writing essay’s). I thought I submitted sound work when leaving PII testing.

I was surprised in the aspect of checking my email randomly and seeing the email.

Does anyone know if the FBI pays for our travel to do the Phase III interview? Also, when does the PSI testing and polygraph come into play? Will that be at a FBI field office?

I found this information in the IASP manual -

Travel Arrangements for Phase III Applicant Coordinators are responsible for:

• Making all travel and lodging arrangements for an applicant processing within their area of region (AOR) to attend Phase III testing. It is the responsibility of the AC to secure the most cost-effective and efficient mode of transportation for the applicant.

• Completing any travel budget preauthorization requests or forms, as required by the Finance Division (FD), on behalf of the applicant prior to travel and must assist in completing any necessary forms or vouchers once travel is completed. Expenses will be reimbursed using the standard government rates that are listed on the GSA Web site.

I'm just not sure how to take that. Any thoughts? Anyone hear back about Phase II today?

I havent heard back about PII yet and dont expect to hear anything until the work week starts again. It sounds like the Bureau is paying for PIII - all the more reason I need to get out to my local FO and see if that is where my AC would be if I get one.

Inc95 got the thumbs up for PII, but I dont know if the email details for PIII (or location) have been sent yet.

I'd like to know as well. I was an applicant in 2006 and had the poly at the FO but that was for one opening not multiple. Also for the testing they had me still living in my hometown where I first took the P1 in 2016 so I wonder if they'll try to schedule me for my poly in the same FO and make me jump through hoops to change it.
