Question for those who have or are currently filling out the reference form for the interim clearance. On the form, it says under the dates: Active, Retired, No longer with the agency
Is that our status? Or the supervisor’s status?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, it’s very vague and I worry I wont get a response back from the HR person before the deadline on Monday. Thanks all!

And I know the feeling...I applied for an 1811 position with ICE back in 2015 (failed the panel). I was lucky since my boss was retired FBI and I could discuss a lot with him. The DI process has also been more straightforward, I've noticed. At least the end is in sight!

Yeah, I pretty much knew I was done as soon as it wrapped up. I think I just didn't really have the tactical mentality. Nothing against HSI; I'd love to try again since I realized where I goofed but I'll be 36 next week and as you and others noted, being an 1811 can be rough on a personal life. So it may have been for the best. And in talking to an HSI agent I know and other LE professionals, being a DI is a great career, especially these days. So all I can do now is wait, and should I make a BDI class, study my tail off and do my best to be part of a great team.

And DIs are getting paid!!! DIs have been paid during any/all shut downs. DEA essential personnel (including 1811s), unless in a diversion slot/position, aren't getting paid despite having to work.

I received the email last week regarding the interim clearance as well and filled it out thinking that Active, Retired or no longer with agency was for me. I'm going to email HR. She said she received my form. I should have read the forum before filling out.

I just received a response from HR and the boxes Active, Retired, or no longer with agency do refer to us not the supervisor.

I interpreted it as referring to myself, though it did start to make sense that it could refer to the supervisor! Glad you followed up!

Thanks! I'm going to email HR! Darn. I’m reaching out too, hopefully they’ll let us redo the form. They really should consider putting instructions that are more clear on these forms. It seems to be a common confusion so I am sure they will remedy it for us!
