Edit; asked my recruiter if they expect slots to come available in the next few weeks, or next few months. She said it can take a few months..... Crapola. I used to work at a place within a couple hours of Meade and our security officer would get last minute openings... IF we could send somebody down the next day! Otherwise it could take a while. Over on the NGA thread someone reported they were so backed up in St Louis they were sending people to Ft Belvoir near DC. It is all just part of the adventure. |

Hope you hear something soon. The whole process is definitely a mystery. Agreed. My recruiter had to contact Security to get them to look into it and to provide a reason why the forms are on hold. Security responded to my recruiter VERY quickly. Apparently “on hold” just means “Security needs more information” (whether it be from the applicant or from another source. in my case, it’s the latter so they didn’t send me an email, nor call me for more info.), so I guess that’s safe to tell the recruiter. Another newbie here. Figured I'd throw my status in here now that I've (presumably) given everything that will be requested of me.
9/18 - Applied 10/18 - Phone Interview 11/18 - CJO and SF86 submitted 12/18 - BI started, several follow-ups, and submitted 12/18 - Operational Interview, Psych, and Poly 1/19 - Contacted by interview supervisor -- Operational interview was favorable and HR informed to continue processing me 1/19 - Second Poly 2/19 - Third Poly 3/19 - Fourth Poly (Finally passed)
Now we wait.

Now we wait. That's not a bad timeline right there. Mine is moving at a nice pace too. I just hope yours and mine stay on this nice pace. I heard it can get worse once it's adjudication time. Good luck to you!

lol at these people moving fast. I don't think my BI has even started, and my forms were submitted in the summer of 18.

lol yep that's me. I was honestly surprised at how fast I was able to reschedule so many. Thanks, I'm hoping I have similar luck with adjudication Originally Posted by: rkf4ever That's not a bad timeline right there. Mine is moving at a nice pace too. Yeah I've heard the same. I was advised of an 8 week time frame, so I just need to keep myself busy until then. Originally Posted by: someoldguy I don't think there are any hard and fast rules on the number of tries, but that's the first foursome I've heard of in a while.
I thought it was pretty strange too. The most I've seen on these forums is around two or three.

Bracing myself for things to slow down now. 2/19 - Credit Pulled 3/19 - Met with investigator 3/19 - References beginning to be contacted 3/19 - Scheduled poly at the end of March Wow thats awesome! I sent my SF86 back in December, and haven't heard anything. Had my credit pulled back in January, and that is it. Same here. Called my recruiter in early/mid Feb and they said that they were still reviewing the forms, blah blah, it can take up to 3 months. Tempted to follow up this afternoon. Did you get a call or an email, YoungD? After sending in the docs, I got a phone call from the investigator. All of the conversation with the investigator was over the phone. The only emails I received were to schedule dates for the poly and psych eval.

Now we wait. Wow 4 polys! How common is it to have more than 1 or 2? Did they tell you the results of the tests right then and there or did you have to wait for an email?

Two weeks after I applied, I received an email requesting my transcripts. 30 days after that I received an introduction email from my recruiter about scheduling an interview.

I'm not sure about how common it is, but I did meet a guy there that was coming back for his third poly. I was given the results immediately.
