I have been send for training many times all over the country with my previous agency and I can tell you that your pay would be for the area you were hired from. Dont think uscis would be different.

Here's my timeline

USCIS ISO Timeline

11/10/2018 Applied
12/18/2018 Referral Letter
1/2/2019 Writing assessment
2/25/2019 Phone interview
3/5/2019 Tentative Offer
3/7/2019 Signed training agreement/OF 306
3/12/2019 Drug Test

Anyone know what's the OT rate for immigration services officer? Time and a half? Or double rate?

Overtime is time and a half, but overtime is going away very soon. Its already down to 10 hours a pay period and only for 2 forms, there's a good chance that by the time you are eligible to do overtime it won't exist anymore. Thats if you were hired at the TSC, I can't speak for anywhere else.

Thanks for replying back, I believe I'll be going to a field office, do you know the difference between service center and field office? What are the pros n cons?
Thanks again!

Field offices are in person adjudicating. You will be either interviewing applicants or at a customer service window. You may be able to telework once or twice a pay period, but that depends what youre doing and local policy.

Service centers are all paperwork. Youll never talk to an applicant, youre only job is to bust out production (i.e. adjudicating as many forms as you can). The service centers are a lot more laid back, you can wear t shirts and jeans on your office day, and you can telework 4 days a week.

Do you happen to know if NBC offices are similar to service centers in regards to telework policy?

At the NBC you can telework up to 4 days a week after 1 year with the agency (not sure if they take prior federal/military service into account).

At my field office, it's business attire. At the very least that means shirt and a tie, but most people wear suits. On days when the office is closed for interviews, you can wear business casual.

Nah, I buy shirts that I can throw in the wash and I dry clean my suits maybe every 4-5 wears or so.

The one year requirement is an OMB requirement and its you have to be a federal employee for one year. So if you were already a fed you just have to meet the local requirements to be able to telework.

Grats on ISO 2, if you don't mind me asking, where you ISO 1 previously? If you were how long where you ISO and what GS where you? Did you have to transfer for ISO 2? How was the application process for ISO 2 compared to ISO 1? such as the ISO exam, essay interview? Thanks a bunch if you can answer these questions!

Did your PSA notify you that they sent your case up to the PSS for decision?
