Social Security Administration

The Social Security Administration (SSA) is an independent agency of the United States federal government that administers Social Security, a social insurance program consisting of retirement, disability, and survivors' benefits. To qualify for these benefits, most American workers pay Social Security taxes on their earnings; future benefits are based on the employees' contributions. (Source: Wikipedia)

Hi everyone,

I was interviewed on March 5th, 2019. It's a phone interview for the position of Customer service representative at LA. The interviewer told me the job training will begin on Middle of April. Right now, I haven't received any feedback about my interview. I am wondering if anyone else receive any responds back for the same position?

Any commons would be very helpful! Thank you!

I did not apply for that position. But congratulations on getting a interview. If I may ask how long after being reffered did you get contacted for a interview. I applied for Claims specialist in Colorado it has been over 30 days since refferal no contact. Also by chance are you a Veteran?

Thanks for the help.

* Feb 7th: submitted application;
* Feb 18th: received email about my referral;
*Feb 26th: scheduled a time for phone interview;
*March 5th: was interviewed by 3 interviewers;
* Several days later, received a letter which showed my panel interview was passed.

After this, I haven't received any response yet.

I currently applied 15 federal jobs. This is my first interview. The other applications have no any feedback for me.

Thanks for the information. I am a current federal employee and hiring process is definitely different for each agency and time for progress moving forward. Thanks for the information I was referred as a best qualified vet on 2/20/19 and silence since tried contacting poc on announcement several times to no avail. Been awhile since refferal and no contact hope I'm still in the running. Good luck to you

Thank you for your responding! Here is some updates I want to share with you.

Updates:

TO: April 22nd.

Fingerprint: April 23rd.

Written offer by email: April 30th. In this email, it show my start date is on May 12th.

Then I received some additional documents to fill out on May 1st, such as New Hire Questionnaire and OF-306.

From now, I haven't hear anything yet. Especially, I haven't receive e-QIP .

By the way, the work location is a Los Angeles Teleservice center. When I tried to google the address, it seems not related to social security administration. So, does it normal that the address of Teleservice center can't be found in google. In addition, I couldn't find exact address through official website of social security administration. I don't know if I didn't search it correctly.

Here is the page on SSA's web site that lists the addresses of Teleservice Centers. I don't guarantee that it is completely up-to-date.

Yeah, Thanks for your help. I saw this list too. But unfortunately, the address listed on usajob.gov is different. Here is the link for the job description: https://www.usajobs.gov/...b/ViewDetails/523272400/

I am trying to drive to LA this weekend and rent a room there for the job. But now, I am worried about if the address in the website is correct.

I would not worry and would assume the address is correct. This appears to be a large office building and SSA is probably leasing office space in the building, something they do quite often. This link indicates the building is managed by a company called Jamison Services. If you're really concerned, you might try calling them to see if they can confirm that SSA is a tenant in that building.
