I'm considering getting a dashcam for my car when I move to start my job at the Agency. Are you permitted to have a recording dashcam in your car when you drive onto NSA grounds? I could see them not permitting it for security reasons, but I'm not totally sure. Trying to decide buying a ~$100 dashcam be a dumb investment if I have to take it down/put it back up every time I go to work.

Anyone have any insight to this? I am also interested in getting a dash cam, but not if it will prevent me from accessing the area.

Going out on a short limb I would advise against it. Even if they didn't say anything I wouldn't do it.

No you cannot use a dashcam. I recently went through the gate and one of the guards happened to notice my cell phone propped up in its holder. I was stopped and asked if it was recording. When I said no they said that was good because cameras are not authorized ...

Good to know, thank you. I will be having a rather long commute, so I wanted to get some extra "insurance" in case of an accident. Oh well, old school way, it is!
