Oh man, I wonder how all that is going to go. I've been very excited as well as anxious for the final steps.

This is just one of those "bumps in the road" as they say.

Thank you for that heads up!

She said after that they still have to wait on OPM to certify the certificates.
I am an August 2018 applicant
October 2018 proctored test
March 2019 panel interview
April 2019 found out I was recommended to move onto the next step

I read this one and was super curious. So, I ended up emailing the folks in DC.
They stated that I was still recommended to move forward after the panel interview. And right now, OPM needs to certify all the certificates for the applicants before moving forward. Hopefully this relieved some of the anxiety we may have had. I'm glad we are all keeping each other in the loop.

From the sounds of this, we might first get an update from USAJOBS before we hear anything directly from our HR reps?

Thoughts?

Thank you Navychick101.

Well, today is exactly one year since the 08/2018 application closed. Crazy to think that time has flown by this fast, even with all of us being so excited and trying to embrace patience.

I wanted to ask if anyone has gotten their "next steps" packet or email? Also, does anyone know the contact email for inquiring on the status of individual applications? I just found out that I have a little girl on the way, due in February, and I am just trying to get a few questions answered as a means of mentally prepping for what is soon to come and get an idea of timelines.

Thanks again everyone. We're all in this together!

Lol, who gets an email alert on their phone the moment someone posts, and immediately logs in to check to see if someone in the group is moving forward?! I know I do!

Hahaha same!

Caused me to look on USA Jobs and noticed an External Assesment was done back in June 2019. Not sure what that is, but hey, with the level of uncertainty we all have right now, I'll say it's a sign of progress!

I don't have the email but I'll research it and get back to the group unless someone else responds first.

I am here everyday!
Anyway, here is the email for the Diversion Investigator - HRRD.Recruit@usdoj.gov

Hope this helps.
I am 8/18 applicant and have not heard anything yet since my last post.

I just logged in to usajobs and saw an external assessment was done back in June as well. I got impatient and just sent an email to check in status and to see if I could expect next steps prior to Oct 1. Congrats to the person expecting a baby in February :)

That’s truth!!!

Here’s the reply I just got (and I love how there is zero confirmation as to WHEN...just “shortly.”):

There was a delay in certifying all the applicants who passed the interview so I apologize for that but an HR Specialist should be reaching out shortly.

Hey, you and I are kinda in the same boat... I have met with my investigator already and I think my paperwork was sent for review... Not really sure since they don't let you know when it's sent off... But I'm thinking they won't let us know anything until closer to the academy start date, which would be around like January... I reached out to one of the HR reps and asked a few questions and I will let you know when I hear back...

What I was told is that makeup tests will finish this week and to wait another four weeks from now for everyone's results.

Thanks! I met with my investigator as well this month, and she was finishing up my report last Thursday. Now it’s time to wait. I’ve had nothing but pleasant responses from the recruiter office on updates so far. It has also worked out better for me to start the academy in March than last July. Good luck to everyone! It’s been a long journey so far, but from everything I’ve heard it’s worth the wait.

I just spoke with HR and they said the next class will be in February 2020. Not sure if this has been updated in the forum from before they were saying March 2020 but I just wanted to pass it along!

Thanks for the update! I spoke to them 2 weeks ago and they had told me March. They must have changed it recently.

I do think that this is a recent change, but HR told me the same thing... The two classes that are scheduled for next year are February and July...

8/18 Applicant...same here. No updates. I got the impression we’ll be moving forward together as a cohort for the most part (all referrals certified before disclosure emails sent; then all disclosures returned before medicals start etc). I’m sure there are exceptions but I’m guessing we’ll get our emails roundabout the same time. Glad we can all keep each other informed here, it’s helpful.
