LadySA, am I reading that right that your BI took over a year? Just trying to figure out the timing I should expect.

Yes, but I would venture to say I am an anomaly. They lost some paperwork and didn't communicate that to me or my AC, so it took months to figure out what was taking so long.

dont worry so much about how long stuff takes or doesnt take for other people - everyone is different. some people's backgrounds take 2 months, some take 2 years. There is no cookie cutter - some people travel extensively overseas, some dont.

When i had a date change during my BI, I can only assume it is when i was favorably adjudicated by HQ. However, I didnt hear anything from my AC for about 2 months, which is when i found out i was selected for a class and would be going to the Q.

Enjoy your time at Q, LadySA. Don't hit the boardroom until orders night, and enjoy orders night, even if you get your last pick. Looking forward to seeing where you'll end up after this long journey!

Another question regarding the PFT, would you guys think it's best to pull back from training about a week before the PFT to give the body time to heal from training? I'm aware that running training doesn't have to stop, but what about strength training?

Run the pft frequently so your body adjusts to the 5 minute rest time.

Just remember it's game day for the pft, don't try out anything for the first time at 0800 as you're starting sit ups.

Should I run it once a week? Twice a week?

The short answer is it depends like everything else in the process. How long do you have until you have to take it? How many days a week can you train?

For me, I was running one every Saturday morning at 0800 on the track that my field office used for the actual pft.

Just make sure the first time you take one isn't the actual one.

My interview isn't until October 7. I strength train 3 times a week including core and I run 3 times a week as well. No workouts on Saturday.

Nice job, I'm glad the process is finally moving again for you! Am I reading that right, that you can you get bonus points for pull-ups, even if you're not applying for HRT?

Thanks! I don't think they necessarily count for much, but it sure as hell feels good to get some reps down on paper.

Greetings all, I've been lurking on here for months, finally made an account to chime in and say hello. I've been in the process for a while now and thought I was going to the July class, and definitely thought I was going to the Sept one, however it appears my application/package is stuck with the Pysch unit where its been for a few months since I had a psych eval done (i can PM more details). Is anyone else in a similar situation? Or current NATS/Agents had something similar when they were in the process?

I resubmitted my SA app and have a few questions if anyone doesn't mind helping me out. I believe you only get 2 opportunities to take Phase 1? I didn't pass the last time and should have requested additional time, but my AC said conditions cannot be taken into considerstion after the fact. Does that mean for that specific Phase 1 sitting or now for the retake as well?

Lastly, I saw my SA app processing date was updated from Under Review to Assessment:Phase 1 as of yesterday morning 8am (9/10/19). I never received an updated application status email or Phase 1 retake invite, is this because of the window between two sittings or can you elect to take your last Phase 1 retake sooner and it should here today? Hoping to pass and expedite this hiring process. Thank you all, wish you the best!

I believe it's three months from the time you fail the Phase I assessment. They probably didn't review you since you've already been reviewed and were moved forward to Phase I previously. Who knows, they could send you an email to schedule your exam but just like as with any part of the process, you could receive an email and then wait months for the next step of what the actual email told you.

Thank you, I thought there would be a wait as well but I did see it go from "Under Review" to "Assessment: Phase 1", yet haven't recieved anything so I assume it'll come when the window closes or something.

Hey everybody, new here after lurking for a little while. Just scheduled my M&G in a couple weeks and I have one question (because I'm clearly overthinking this aspect). Wear a tie to the M&G, Yes or No?

I would say dress like you want the job. I'm sure the recruiters will be in suit and tie so you may as well do the same. They are there to assess you and your packet and everything they learn that day is what will be used in their recommendation to HQ on whether or not to rank you competitively. I say all that but there were a couple folks who showed up without ties and one guy wasn't even in a traditional suit and he was moved forward. I hope that helps.

Just received my M&G 2 days ago for 9/25. Extremely excited, can't wait to show them what I'm about. I'll be in a full suit and tie without a doubt. I believe you should dress to impress, you want your first impression (even if it may be your last, to be a good one). A while back I read something about scheduling a PFT test before PII. Anyone know if this is happening now?

Hey! I see you are from NYC. Me too. I had my MG. Definitely suit with the TIE. Not sure if the guys/girls moved forward but some where very sloppy dressed and one girl wore bright yellow jacket. No idea about their rank but....HR highlighted that suit with the tie.

You will have fun! It was cool event.
