I didn't have to take a polygraph. It is my understanding that most people do not, but I guess the possibility does exist.

On the cbp app does everything say completed besides the fitness and poly? My drug test just cleared so I’m at 57% complete, does the background need to be cleared also on the app before they offer a port?

Mine is at 57%, I believe as long as you signed the provisional clear, you can start while your background check is still on going. My background is not cleared on the app, but when I emailed back in July (the first time) I was told my application was completed and I was referred to scheduling.

Do you guys know how many people are ahead of you in the call list? Or when they will start calling again?

I saw a couple of posts on here regarding areas with incentive pay. I work in one of those areas, Portal, North Dakota, and we have positions open. Portal is classified as a hard to fill location due to it being remote, in an oil field area and having to drive an hour and a half to buy groceries. The hunting and fishing is good. There are local schools and churches. You can grab a bite to eat or a cold beverage at the local bar. The work is interesting. We deal with everything but airports. We have passenger vehicles, commercial trucks, trains and container ships. Ok, not the ships themselves, just the containers. The containers come from all over Asia and India, get unloaded from the ship and on to a train that enters the U.S. at Portal, ND. We are always finding interesting things in the containers.
Base pay with the incentive is GS5-1 $41090, GS7-1 $50898, GS9-1 $62259, GS11-1 $75327, GS12-1 $90286. Plus shift differential, Sunday and holiday pay. Cha-Ching!

Quick question on hours. I know that most custom officers work late nights like 12 am - 8pm. Sometimes in their shift work schedule. I’ve heard that aggies do not work late nights? Anyone know somewhat the typical hours? I’m just curious because I’ve heard about three officers mention this about Aggie schedules.
