If you get an offer, can you push you invite?

Say if I get offered for March, Can I push to May?

Suits for M&G? How formal is this meeting?

Suits for everything except the PFT

And the medical exam.

If you receive a date change while in your BI, it most likely means you’ve been adjudicated.

If you are fit and are willing to go to the Q on short notice, it’s worth a call to your AC, or better, your AC’s admin (who usually does some of the key work anyway). Say you saw and date change and ask whether you’ve been adjudicated.

You can also say you’re fit and ready to go to the Q on short notice.

I did that and was put in the next class.

Thanks!

An adjudication decision has been reached. Sounds like you are adjudicated.

I'm in BI and recently had a processing date change myself, but it seems too soon for me to have been adjudicated (a couple of months) -- do you know of any other reason the processing date might change?

Not saying I know what this process is like because I'm not to your point yet; however, having had a number of clearances, an adjudication can take as many as months to as long as years. Everyone is different.

I'm in the same boat, "Someguy"! I am an IA applicant and have been in BI since May/June. Last processing date was 04/23/2019 when I accepted my CJO. At that time, the status changed to the "Security Component" one. Nothing changed until yesterday, 10/15 - that "last processing date" changed but not the status. I've been feverishly reading through this forum and all of the various threads to try and figure out what this means!

You are the third person that had a processing date change today, or these days. That means HQ is pushing people through.

I'm in the same boat too. SA applicant, last processing date for security investigation was early April, was updated yesterday afternoon 10/15/19. Was told by my AC it's because I'm in a "hold" until they finish reviewing some medical record.

Just over 3 weeks now from the NYC M&G with no notice regarding ranking. I'm sure the chaos of filling the Oct. class is taking up most of the resources, but I would have loved to be able to take the 'scheduled' pilot PFT this month.

Anyone hear anything yet?

I'm coming out of DC with I think 56 people at my MG if I recall, so probably similar to NYC. Definitely can take awhile but it all varies. Really no clear cut answer on how long it'll take but I'd say on average bigger offices will take longer than small ones.

I just realized your M&G was smaller than ours and it took well over a month. Doesn't look like that Oct. pilot PFT is happening, haha. Time to stop worrying about it and get ready to run in colder November!

Anybody know if the October class is full yet? Or how many spots are left if it’s not already full?

I encountered nothing on the test that wasn't in the study guide from FBIJobs.gov, so hopefully that's comforting. Beyond those materials, my advice is to get very comfortable with the figural reasoning questions if you struggle at all with the ones in the study guide. For most people, those are the harder questions. If you Google "figural reasoning test questions," "pattern recognition test questions," or "abstract reasoning test questions," you should find a lot to work with. Also, don't worry about skipping a question and coming back to it. The computerized test makes this easy.

THis X2.

The FBI guide is a great place to start.

Make sure you read the instructions. I can't remember if the FBI guide said you could or could not use scratch paper, but my testing center did not allow me to use scratch paper, which was a curveball.

For logic reasoning - make sure you understand the "some" argument. That is the hardest concept. Lookup youtube some argument explanation. It is the same concept from the LSAT.
The figural reasoning is easy ONCE you get it. But you need to do a few to program your brain for what they are looking for.

What is the current turn around time for invite after taking the Phase 2 written portion for the phase 2 interview? Is there a current back log making 6-7 weeks normal before hearing anything about an interview?
