Also, my profile has the 10/15 update next to the security componant status, I haven't heard back from my AC yet, has anyone figured out if there is anything to it?

I encountered nothing on the test that wasn't in the study guide from FBIJobs.gov, so hopefully that's comforting. Beyond those materials, my advice is to get very comfortable with the figural reasoning questions if you struggle at all with the ones in the study guide. For most people, those are the harder questions. If you Google "figural reasoning test questions," "pattern recognition test questions," or "abstract reasoning test questions," you should find a lot to work with. Also, don't worry about skipping a question and coming back to it. The computerized test makes this easy.

THis X2.

The FBI guide is a great place to start.

Make sure you read the instructions. I can't remember if the FBI guide said you could or could not use scratch paper, but my testing center did not allow me to use scratch paper, which was a curveball.

For logic reasoning - make sure you understand the "some" argument. That is the hardest concept. Lookup youtube some argument explanation. It is the same concept from the LSAT.
The figural reasoning is easy ONCE you get it. But you need to do a few to program your brain for what they are looking for.

What is the current turn around time for invite after taking the Phase 2 written portion for the phase 2 interview? Is there a current back log making 6-7 weeks normal before hearing anything about an interview?

I had 12 days in between completing P2 written and invite to schedule P2 interview but that just may be my FO.

Anyone hear anything yet?

Reached out to the AC a couple weeks ago and she said they were aiming for this week and reached out again today for any update. Just checked my FBI Jobs profile as well and my processing date was updated to yesterday. So hopefully that means I/we hear something soon. There could still be a possibility of running next week.

Long time lurker. Received word that I passed phase II this week and I'm really excited. I'm currently prescribed Adderall and I'm wondering if there is a time in the process that I would have to disclose this? My assumption is that it would be present in the drug test.

Anyone ever thought of making a google doc that is open and people could just add in their dates of items? That way it could auto average and provide estimated timeframes for anyone when they ask?

I would love to see something like this.

For instance, looking at your app date to M&G, it looks like it's only been 3 weeks. That seems really fast based off what I thought the time between the two events should be :)

I think some FOs have their M&Gs already scheduled so as long as you get through the initial process quick enough, you'll make the M&G. Mine was about four weeks after applying. The time to get to/through P1 is really no time at all. It's really how much time will be had between the M&G and P2.

Was your rank HC or C? Or did you have any prior FBI Background check? I had a previous FBI background check run on me when I received my law license. No clue if any of that affects the app processing time.

I think it really just depends on which FO you process out of.

It doesnt, an FBI background check is just a simple criminal check, common for laywers or someone applying for welfare. An FBI BI is much different and has to do with suitability and security. they are not related and having one wont help the other.

I was competitive. I think they only do Competitive and Non-Competitive. I had no prior FBI BI. I don't think any of that affects the processing time. I'll be honest, I'm not sure they even really look at anything except to see you meet the requirements to apply and then advance you from there.
