I've recently accepted a job with an agency, and will be returning as a reinstated candidate. Having done some digging, it turns out that I'm eligible for a recruitment incentive. That said, I'm not sure how one actually wordsmiths a request like that. Has anyone done this before? What did you say when you did?

What did you say when you did? I think the job announcement has to specify that recruitment incentive is authorized. If it was not mentioned in the FO, I'm not sure what recourse you have. My only experiences with requesting it was after getting a TO, I pointed out that the announcement listed the recruitment incentive and they just asked me how much I was looking to get... I told them I'd like to get as much as I could get! Never heard back from them. For another position they told me what the position offered for recruitment incentive, no haggling. Good luck
