Every Area and sometimes it seems every territory is doing things slightly differently. I know some wave 1 & 2 fully released to go out on their own on imf and BMF, and others in the same office partially released just for IMF, some for second contact. But in my opinion thats how it should be. Everyone grasps this stuff at their own pace.

Still no updates about the new potential hiring wave. Believe it when I see it.
They did an acceleration for wave 3, so that they’re now at the same pace, same trainings, as Wave 2. Interesting.

The executives in meetings I had last week didn't sound like they are expecting to do a hiring wave any time soon. This is obviously due to budget issues with the pay raise and all the new retirements happening in the next few years, the budget as it's constructed now makes it hard to hire externally, especially in as big a number as they wanted to for revenue officers. Also, wave 3 might have caught up in classroom training to wave 2, but most aren't at the same number of cases etc. It actually seems every area is doing it differently so it'll be interesting to see the training continue.

That is not correct information.
The budget and CRs delayed hiring by two months.
They just send a lot of people to OJI school.
There is going to be a hiriing

There is going to be a hiriing They did have an OJI posting a couple months ago so they are training for something. It’s possible they might be training for internals though. If you look at the announcements on usajobs, the only revenue officer jobs open are internal and one of them was a larger hire. It also depends what PODS can hire. Some are at full capacity. I did hear from trainers that they are doing something for April but I am not sure what that means for a large wave for the public which is most of these people on the board.

Hard to believe that Unit 3 is almost done for Wave 2.

I’m aware of the OJI selection. I was selected as an OJI. I sat down with my TM and the other OJI and there is going to be a hiring. The RO positions now are for above journey level positions. GS12 and GS13. I think there might be management positions coming

Not sure how they got hired other than from the old posting. Maybe there will be a hiring, but I am not sure when they will start if it's a public posting since the process takes time and it's already February so they would need to try to get them in before the budget ends September 30th.

If that’s true, they’ll only be pulling from the previous applicants.

Hey everybody, it’s been a while since I’ve been on the soup! I’ve been working for the CA state gov’t collecting sales tax for the past 7 years. I’ve read the recent posts about a possible RO hiring in the near future. Does anybody have any further information?

And the only information I have is they are going to do a hiring. But the budget process screwed up the timeline again. So we don’t know when but supposedly this fiscal year

You were newly hired?
From outside?
Soak up as much as you can. There will be a culture shock.
Find a routine and rhythm that works for you.
Every day that you’re doing something faster then the day before is a good sign of progress.

Every day that you’re doing something faster then the day before is a good sign of progress. I applied through the Recent Graduates Pathway program. I’ve been reading the message boards since I haven’t been able to get much information from any sort of point of contact I’ve gotten no real details besides the start date so I barely started looking at apartments and trying to make plans for the move.
