Can anyone detail out the physical requirements of IRS-CI CITP? What's a day like? Are they gonna run our ass into the ground? Burpees, pushups, pull-ups, sit-ups, run, repeat? Or is it way more cake than that?
Thank you kindly!

I interviewed back in November and still haven’t heard anything either way. Is anyone else in the same boat? Edited by user Wednesday, February 19, 2020 7:07:19 AM(UTC)

For any applicant scrubbing the internet for information - I have received a definitive answer for those dealing with the color-vision requirements of the IRS-CI Special Agent position. Context: I applied for the SA position in Feb/Mar 2019. Over the past year, I reached out to IRS HR, Comprehensive Health Services (CHS), and my new POD to gather specific information regarding the color-vision requirements and tests. No party could give a precise and definitive answer. Now that I have completed the medical, I can provide clarity. These answers were obtained directly from a Medical Review Officer (MRO) with CHS:
1. Question: Whether color corrective contacts or lenses are permitted to be worn for the 14-plate Ishahara test? Answer: MRO states definitively - NO. Ishihara Testing completed with corrective lenses are not allowed and will not be considered in any form. 2. Question:Since color deficiency runs on a spectrum from slight to severe - is there a demarcation that divides what level of deficiency qualifies and what doesn't? Answer: IRS allows for mild color deficiency and not moderate or severe. 3. Question: Are waivers granted for this qualification? Answer: If needed, applicant would contact IRS directly to inquire about the waiver policy

Anyone here know how they calculate the 50 mile residence to POD requirement? Do I just drop a pin at the POD location and draw a 50 mile circle around it? Thanks!

I had a couple things they wanted too (ironically I didn't get the confirmation email that they received it but I called the number and one of the people there confirmed they received it & sent it to the MRO). Next up is the audit and then the BI...anyone know how long it is from the medical review for that? Edited by user Tuesday, March 3, 2020 9:13:56 AM(UTC)

I have a friend that hasn't gone through medical yet, but currently going through the audit. I am finishing up follow ups and received a request to send in school transcripts. Does anyone know if there's a a general flow to the various steps?

Originally Posted by: passwordistaco Any chance they shut down FLETC until this coronavirus panic passes? I hope not but I've been wondering the same thing. The military has been screening new recruits when they arrive for basic and then having them go through training as normal -the difference is that graduation ceremonies are being done without families present as a precaution. My guess is they'd do something similar since FLETC seems to be a fairly contained environment. If anything, they might restrict students from leaving.

Thank you kindly! No. You won’t be run into the ground. CITP is the same for everyone. You get a schedule detailing everything you’ll do for the entirety of CITP. And SAIT. 2-3 times a week you’ll spend 2 hours in the matroom. How hard will this be? Depends on your instructor. Some are more gung-ho than others. Some are more laid back. This is NOT a physical training program designed to get you into shape. You should already have a level of fitness. Do you need to be an Olympic athlete? No. But if you can’t run a mile and a half non-stop then crank out push ups and sit ups and burpees.... You’ll learn techniques to use to keep yourself and your fellow agents safe and alive. That includes me. I love living, it’s one of my favorite things.

I got registration/reporting instructions yesterday as well. I'm excited to go but I'm hoping this means I won't be reporting until things normalize. I was uneasy about leaving my family with everything going on now.

Got mine as well. I assume the registration instructions are irrelevant for the time being but I’ll reach out to the POC this week if they don’t send out amplifying info.
Was told by my mentor that they still plan to onboard me at the field office as scheduled. I was worried my family’s health insurance coverage was going to lapse if that got delayed so that news was a relief.
