As CriminalIA rightly said, there are multiple possibilities including that it could literally signal "nothing at all," which makes speculation unproductive.

Basically, if there's an important update, you'll be notified directly one way or another.

I think it was the email invite that I also got a couple of weeks ago (someone else messaged me something similar this AM). It says “invitation to 3/1 bftc” or something like that. They give you a couple of days to accept/reject but you still need your final offer.


That's the email. Will accept it tonight.

Havent decided, but most likely driving as I'd like to be able to drive off base or drive home. Its a few hours drive home but its better than having to buy a plane ticket every time.


It would be around 14 hours for me. I was originally planning on driving but I'm not sure now.

I’m from a superrrr small town but live in a FO city now. San Antonio includes Austin which to me, is the best city in Texas by far. People are a little different but some of the friendliest and it’s central to the rest of the state. Weather, cost, outdoor activities all great in San Antonio and surrounding hill country. Plus San Antonio is right at the end of the fastest toll road in Texas which can get you all the way to Waco pretty quickly. Houston is um hot and humid. Floods a lot. Sort of dirty. The traffic is the worst out of all the other cities despite having multiple major highways. We joke about it taking 2 hours to get from Houston to Houston. Where I’m from originally we called Houston the armpit of Texas if that helps.


Im processing out of San Antonio, but from Dallas. Central TX is def where its at, however, Austin has become waaaaay overpopulated to the point that the city's infrastructure cant hold up to the influx of people moving in which sucks. Everyone is coming here.

I just wanted to hop on and say I am so excited for those of you headed to class this weekend! If you have time, pop in once in a while and let us stragglers know how it's going... we'd love to hear what you are able to share! :)

Also, regarding jreff's comments on Texas - I am actually a born-and-raised Texan (small city, West Texas for me), and would personally choose San Antonio or Dallas over Houston any day. I agree with the armpit statement. 🤢

Is Dallas worth a look or should it be put into “avoid” bin? I gave a brief look into El Paso but it appears to be Tatooine sans the Jawas.
