I’ve been on WC since early last year and am having surgery next month. I’ve been out of work the whole time on WC. Now, prior to being hurt on the job I had FMLA on record for a previous health condition(cancer). I got updated FMLA papers last week from my Oncologist but I’m hearing this won’t be accepted because I don’t have 1250 hours worked. Is this the case even though I was on WC and need this for an ongoing issue that I had before all this happened? This is important for my health going forward and have a hard time believing this even though it was a previous condition(one ill always have) and haven’t been able to work because I got hurt on the job. TIA

You must have worked 1250 hours in the previous 12 months to qualify for FMLA.
