Has anyone gone through the hiring process at a FO that uses the "pilot" program for the PFT/Phase II?

My assumption is that you likely get moved through the process pretty quickly after passing the PFT. But I haven't read about anyone who's experienced it.

Speaking of which, my PFT is in the morning assuming it doesn't get postponed due to rain again. I peaked for my initial PFT in mid to late January and tapered off my running volume so I'd be fresh for the test. Now, 3 weeks later, my fitness levels are pretty garbage as I don't have enough time to really run another block to re-prepare. Hoping the adrenaline helps as much as people say haha

It's not entirely out of the ordinary for them not to tell you that you passed the poly at all, so "2 weeks" with "no word" actually bodes well for you. Also, if you failed the poly, then the examiner would tell you. They may not have said, "you failed," but they would almost certainly have asked you a bunch of follow-up questions, such as "I see that you showed some sensitivity on the matter of illegal narcotics usage. Perhaps you took a friend's prescription pain killer? I see this all the time..." If you finished the test and he said, "looks good," or something to that effect, then you didn't fail.

Monitor your credit. If they FBI checked/checks your credit, then you most likely passed.

That’s a bit reassuring. He did tell me he thought inconclusive but couldn’t say for sure. I might just call my AC and ask.

God I remember I took the poly and I think the polygrapher told me straight up inconclusive. I’d never heard of inconclusive before so I thought the polygrapher was screwing with me.

I was like out of my mind trying to figure it out. Then that same day I got one of those automated FBI jobs emails that was about going into the BI stage. So then I thought for sure the polygrapher was screwing with me and that I was put into the BI stage.

I don’t recall how long it took me to hear, but a month later I was back in there for another poly. And the rest is history. But that was probably one of the worst stages for me.

Ha, I am glad that people are posting success stories after inconclusive results. My guy didn't give me an indication either way. He said it could be inconclusive, it might not be inconclusive but he wasn't the one who made the call. He said it was up to HQ. I can't tell if it was a load of BS or if it was his way to gently let me know I failed.

I was notified the very next day, so from that sound of it, that's fairly fast. I was initially told I would hear back within 1-2 weeks.

Just another perspective: I was left to feel that my results were ambiguous, and would be left to HQ to decide if I'd need to be back in a couple of weeks. My examiner seemed to fish for something by saying I had some funny breathing results, but he couldn't provide a response as to which question(s) that was for. I was never called back, but about a month later I saw the soft credit pull, then BI began.

Oddly, my current employer was among the first to be interviewed in the BI. I was always under the impression that would occur closer to the end, so it just feels weird at work since my supervisor was interviewed in December. Spouse was contacted for interview recently, so hopefully things are wrapping up.

Thanks for posting. That’s almost verbatim what was said to me and what happened after I was done. I was done with the whole thing in less than 2 hours.

Just got my email saying I passed P2 this morning. I'm processing out of one of the field offices where I had to take the PFT before P2 so now I'm waiting on my SF-86. For those who have made it through this part, how long does it take before the agency sends it to me? Thanks

My timeline was a little different, but 2-4 weeks doesn't seem out of the ordinary. I had P2I late August, got results within 5 days, then waited until mid September for my PFT. Then until mid October for my SF-86 invitation. PSI was scheduled about a week after submitting, poly the following week. Then...a few blips here and there regarding reference contacts.

Savor the excitement while it lasts! After the next month or two, it gets a fair bit quieter.

I feel your pain. My employer has known about my application process since June, they were interviewed in July (along with spouse), and still in backgrounds. I hope for your sake that you're getting toward the end. Best of luck!

I thought it was going to be awkward having people at work know, however, I was up front with my supervisor and surprisingly haven't received any different treatment. At this point, I'm still waiting for my background investigator to be assigned. The waiting game begins...

Educated guess for academy dates for the rest of the (fiscal) year would be: 5/10, 7/5, 9/13.

I'm moving forward pretty fast with the Secret Service. Probably going to withdraw my FBI application tomorrow.

Best of luck to everyone!

Womp.. probably a sign of things to come for other applicants. I wonder if this is a FO by FO decision or nation-wide. My upcoming PFT would violate the "10 person" guidance put out by the WH so I won't be surprised if it gets cancelled as well. More time to train I guess!
