If you did not see the 60 Minutes program aired tonight, 6/14/20, I highly encourage you to do so. There is a segment about the MSPB and the horrific situation it is in without a single board member. Even if a three-member board were appointed today it is estimated it would take about 3-4 YEARS just to get through the current backlog.

The most interesting case was that of a VA supervisor who was accused by subordinates of creating a hostile work environment and subsequently fired. This is clearly a case of the "good ole boy" system retaliating against someone who was trying to do their duty and reporting fraud and abuse. Although it seems as though it ended OK for him (undoubtedly due to 60 Minutes laser focusing on his case) others should heed the warning that only 15% of people get their jobs back or any kind of justice.

Food for thought.

Interesting. I would put the percentage lower - like 2% get their jobs back - the numbers are misleading and purposefully confusing.
