I was browsing the pay scales on the apwu website and I stumbled upon this:

https://d1ocufyfjsc14h.c.../rsc_n_april_25_2020.pdf

What are these jobs like? How do I move into these jobs? Does anyone on this forum work in Information Technology/Account Service?

I'm so bored and unfulfilled in my current position. I really want to advance in my career and take on a new challenge.

do you live where a service center is located?

keep watching for internal postings for these positions

are you a career employee or a temp.

here was a location in 2016
https://www.uspsoig.gov/...auditoraudit-evaluator-0

might also try calling shared services center to see if they will tell you where the locations are.

I don't know what a service center is. I live near Fresno, CA. I'm a full-time regular.

Information Technology/Accounting Service Employees work in service centers in selected locations in the country.

call shared services 877-477-3273 and ask if they will tell you where one is located.

being career you should have access to internal job openings through liteblue internet https://liteblue.usps.gov/wps/portal/!ut/p/z1/04_Sj9CPykssy0xPLMnMz0vMAfIjo8zind0dPUzMfQwM_I3CDAyM_EyDAw1Cg40NfA31w8EKDHAARwP9KGL041EQhd_4cP0oQkq89KPSc_KTIL5xzEsytkjXjypKTUstSi3SKy0CCmeUlBQUW6kaqBqUl5frpefnp-ek6iXn56oaYNOSkV9coh-BqlK_IDc0wkA3Kqmy3FERAG3Cogc!/dz/d5/L2dBISEvZ0FBIS9nQSEh/

San Mateo would be the closest one I'm aware of. There are EAS IT jobs as in each district if you really want to work in IT without having to move.
