Hello, I had a loaner truck today. I am 6ft 4 and man this truck had me amazed at the leg room. I struggle daily with the comfortableness of my usual LLV. Is there a way to get a truck with more leg room because my knees and back are killing me!!! Or is there something the mechanics can tweak to give me the leg room I need? Plz help me and the ice bags on my lower back. lol

i would ask maintenance if they can move the seat back.

i will get crap for this but if they have one to fit you, management can get others, file a safety hazard 1767 to force the issue.

don't take crap from my distractors.

Look at the various vehicles if there are a bunch where you work. You may find that a shorter person has a vehicle that will fit you better and they might trade. However, I know a 5"6" carrier who wants his seat all the way back. I am 6' 1" and one vehicle assigned to a route I do has a seat that is too close to the wheel for me. I have to reach way back to close the door and reach back to get mail off the ledge and I feel like my knees are in my face all day. It is a huge strain. If you look under the seat you can see if the seat is all the way back or is just stuck. In the case of this one LLV, the seat is all the way back in the track. So the whole thing must be attached further forward than others. When I have that route, I get a "spare" we have. I like to "slide" out of the LLV, not crawl out of a clown car. I bet you have banged your knees exiting the LLV many times like I have.

I am certified for 3 different postal vehicles. Every single vehicle has seat adjustment. There are 2 seat controls for the LLV to accommodate for everyone. read page 2.12
