Earlier this week we were told to pick either Sunday or Monday to do Amazons....and then this morning management gathered all us CCAs and told us that we have to work BOTH Sunday and Monday.
We were angry and one of my good friends said "we have a family", the supervisors said "we do too" and then my friend decided to quit.
I was shocked when I heard about him quitting...he was a good employee and friend.
The treatment of CCAs has become a complete joke.

Funny, 22 Years active duty/8 deployments. Now, I work at the Post Office, a mile from my house, and I feel like I see my family less than I ever have. Can't blame your friend for leaving.

they treat us (CCA) like robots , work 6-10 days straight , send back out any time , if you're not on an opt ( no set work hours , come in different time everyday , leave different time everyday ) can't plan anything at all.I'm happy for your friend ! he made the right decision! I would quit too but I have a 4 year old son to take care of .can't have any down time

So if you have to do Sunday and Monday do you get a day off? Sounds like a good check, but no family time, that sucks...

If you are christian you can drop the religious bomb on Sundays. If they don't allow it its a EEO.

With NO OT!

He's married with kids....including a 4 year old. He told me when he leaves work? she's sleeping. When he comes home? she's sleeping. Can't have a family and be a CCA.

ebru wrote: So if you have to do Sunday and Monday do you get a day off? Sounds like a good check, but no family time, that sucks... Every time I do Amazons, I never get a day off during the week. I've done Amazons about 5 or 6 times since the start....never had a day off during the week. Then they complain about my overtime/vtime.....

Doubt they give a damn about CCAs using that. If it worked all CCAs would use that and no one would do Amazons. Unless they ask regulars....nope....they make too much $.

We took lunches if we were close and talked just about everything. Now...he's gone.

I get tired of hearing that CCA/PTF comparison. Not even the same ball park. Not even the same game really. |

With NO OT! It is a totally different motivational mindset when knowing that one day all those days you worked as a ptf will count towards pension. cca is just money earned. NOT COMPARABLE! |
CCA'S are not the problem, local stewards who have not grieved even the smallest contract infractions how-ever are the problem. |
