Good news is that to get to Q they only require a 5 (1pt each though)

The polygraph is done at one of the primary field offices so it’s professional business attire. My PSI was virtual so I just wore a shirt and tie.

For those who went through the medical screening, did ya'll have trouble getting your childhood immunization records? I can't even remember who my childhood doctor was. My schools have all deleted records due to HIPAA rules. Do I really have to get all those shots again? There's no way I would have even attended K~12 without vaccinations in the first place.

I submitted an inquiry on my state’s health department website and was able to obtain the bulk of mine within a few hours. I’m not sure how similar various states are with record keeping, but you could give it a try. |

Is it still true that you will not get sent back to the office you applied out of after Q?

Luckily my mom had most records for me but I got held up on my chickenpox one cause I only had a record of 1 shot and you need 2. Luckily found out about a dandy thing called a titer that the FBI will also accept. They draw your blood and test it to see if you still have enough vaccine or whatever in your blood. Do that before you try to get all these shots again if you can't find any of your records. They do titers at CVS and I assume similar places. Edited by user Sunday, January 10, 2021 6:44:52 PM(UTC)

This may have been discussed somewhere else, but how has everyone dealt with their current employer during the background investigation? Did you tell them ahead of time? Did you know when they were being contacted?

I am at the early stage of my background so I don't know for sure, but what I have heard elsewhere on the forum is that your current employer will be contacted at the end of the background investigation, and SOME investigators will let you know when they are about to do so. Obviously, this would be useful. Personally, I would prefer to hold off on telling my employer until I absolutely have to but I also don't want them to be blindsided. My background just started (credit pulled on the 4th) and they called and gave me notice they were contacting my current employer this week. I'm not sure if they are waiting until the end of the investigation anymore.

Oh wow, so it just depends on your investigator. I really wouldn't want my employer to be blindsided either. I still haven't even had my PSI though so I have some time lol! I was just curious.

My credit was pulled mid-December, and then my investigator notified me in early January that he would be contacting my current employer.

Can anyone tell me the difference between the 2 medical appts? I know a doctor has to do a ecko but is that all? Thanks everyone! (I had a regular physical for the military 10+ years ago so i don't really remember what it consists of. Thanks!

What is the second medical appointment? Mine is coming up next month and it’s only one (unless you’re referring to reading the TB skin test 48-72 hours later).

Could be different based on the facility? I had my hearing, eyes and tb test also went over medical history and stuff. Then had to make another appt. for the doctor to do the ecko and Physical? Maybe some do it all in the same day but im not sure what the physical part of it is.

Must be something facility specific. Mine was just one appointment as well (physical exam, hearing, eyes, EKG, etc). Had to drop by for them to read the tb skin test, but that’s it. Edited by user Wednesday, January 13, 2021 2:25:53 PM(UTC)

Anybody have an idea of when I can expect to receive an email about the SF 86 after getting the conditional offer (got the offer on Monday)?
