Hi, as a USPS employee, are you guaranteed to see a Union steward even if you are not a union member?

Yes. Just ask. Rules and protections apply to all.
But once you've availed yourself of union help, you should sign up. If you're a CCA, might as well wait until you pass probation. |

Oh yes there would be. Years ago our branch fought to get a scab a full-time position that he was denied. The NALC took it all the way to arbitration and won. The scab got his full-time position and back pay. A few years later he got a LOW and the union got it removed. His wife won't let him because she doesn't want any money going to the union. He told the steward he would join if we could waive the dues. Wow! |
