Hello all, can any one explain the time it will take to be clear for an interim clearance . It's a contractor position for IT department IRS.

Are you asking how long after you are granted an interim will you get the final clearance? The answer is anywhere from three weeks to three years. I'm thinking for for an IT job with IRS we're actually talking about some type of "Public Trust" thing here, and that could be the same 'investigation' as a security clearance or something less involved. |

I submitted my Equip the very last week of November and was told I was granted interim last Wednesday.
