Failed the poly. Nearly everyone else on the officer.com thread who's been posting since 2020 has failed too.

Not sure what's going on with their hiring process.

Doesn't seem like this forum is used much. I'm a re-applicant. Passed the test last year, COVID hit, then my job got super busy and I had to reapply. Hoping HR doesn't take too long to schedule me for the SUPER. I have done a ton of research on USSS since I was dropped by FBI and they have a really cool mission set.

I wanted to post my timeline since I haven't seen anyone in the process recently.

Application: 09/28/2020
SAEE: 11/07/2020 - Passed
ELAC (SUPER/PSI):12/16/2020 - Passed, received CJO
Poly: 02/12/2021 - Passed (background has been initiated)
Drug test: Directions sent on 02/17/2021, likely going to take it 02/20/2021
Medical: 02/23/2021
Home Interview: 03/10/2021

My timeline has been...interesting to say the least. Keep in mind, I went into this entire process to go SA eventually.

Applied for UD - 2/20
Best qualified for UD - 3/20

Applied for SA - 8/20
Best Qualified for SA - 9/20
SAEE (Pass) - 9/13/20
SUPER Notification - 9/20
Notification of Non-Consideration for UD Position - 9/20
SUPER Interview - 9/20

10th of October I received two simultaneous emails from the USSS at the same time.

1. Stating that "We regret to inform you...etc, etc" denial email.

2. "We are please to extend you a conditional offer of employment, etc" and to proceed with medical paperwork. It also stated I would be contacted by the USSS to schedule the medical appointments.

Now, I was highly confused and contacted the same agent I did the SUPER with, and he said he had never heard this happening before, and that he would get in contact with someone to ask and then he would call me back.

I waited for a few days and tried to contact the SA back, but no answer and I was effectively ghosted by them. I also had no way to submit any sort of inquiry, or paperwork that would allow me to progress further...So I received an email saying I wasn't being considered for the SA position any more...but they then sent me another email after, saying I can take the UD test, even after I already was not considered.

Official Notification of Non-selection for SA Position - 11/20

Finally received that notification, while also continuing to be emailed by Pearson to take the UD Test, even after telling them multiple times to remove me.

So, here I am, still interested, applying yet again.

2/1/21 - Applied to SA Opening
2/13/21 - Receipt of Application
2/22/21 - Among best highly qualified individuals email - Notification to take SAEE
2/22/21 - Notification that I already passed the SAEE on 9/20
2/23/21 - Call from SA about interview

I was told that my lacking of a degree would be most likely prevent me from getting offered the position, but who knows, lets see what happens? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm curious on why the CI position is only a temporary assignment, as per the USAJOBS website. What happens after your appointment term is up? Would you be re-hired or look for a new gig after?
