Does anyone know who the fbi contacts at your current employer? Is it strictly HR, or do they actually speak with a supervisor? I have recently been hired somewhere and I’d rather my actual supervisor not know I have this going on in the background due to being in a probationary status. I know they will be contacted at some point, I just don’t know who is actually contacted. I have withdrawn my sa application for now until I’m over the probationary timeframe, but I’d rather reactivate and get to Q as soon as possible (almost 36)...I don’t want to shoot myself in the foot either.

To my understanding they start with the supervisor you list on your SF-86 since that’s who it asks for. But they then ask them for names of people who know you and work with you. They will then talk to those people as well. Even if you put down HR and not your supervisor they will ask who the supervisor is and how to co fact him/her. At least that’s what I understand.

Anybody ever deal with injuries during background? Passed Poly/ medical is in a month. I have a nagging knee injury I wanted to get rehabbed prior to my pre Q PFT and Q. But I worry this could raise some red flags. It’s minor, correctable with PT/ but something I can push through if I need to. But also given a couple months of no running/PT I could heal it properly and be better suited for Q. Would just need some extra time to get back in pre q PFT shape.

Thoughts?

You can contact your AC when they email you to do the Pre-Q pft and let them know you are injured? That way you don't stop the background process. Just my thoughts on it!

I guess I’m wondering if I should be proactive or wait and see if the pre q Pft is even going to be that soon. My Med is mid March, I’ve seen some people get scheduled for pre q Pft right after that in the past. Started background in January.

How long after submitting your SF-86 did you hear about your next steps? Trying to figure out if I’m waiting weeks or months.

Not sure what they told you at your FO but I wouldn't say that's a delay at all. Some people back in the fall mentioned waiting several months which IS a delay. I bet you'll hear in the next week or so.

FO said within 2 weeks. But I guess that’s never a guarantee.

Hey RaiderFan, I finished my phase 2 testing on 2-8-21 and my AC told me that it takes around 4 weeks to get the results. She said the part that takes the most time is the scoring of the written exam. Currently holding my breath every time I get an e-mail to find out if I passed or failed.

I figured I would check in and share my timeline for those interested in how fast things are going. I definitely believe the speed of the process varies between FOs. It's been quite a ride so far!

From the day of my Phase II test until I found out that I had passed, after the P2 Interview, was exactly 13 weeks. I found out that I had passed P2 just under a week from my interview date. Hope that helps!

Still not that long since my Poly in early August I guess. But I applied in December 2018 so it feels like forever. 9 months of that time frame was my own goofing off though after barely failing my first PFT.

I believe I am in adjudication right now. Adjudication can vary considerably in length, correct?
