I'm planning on doing a reassignment from a GS to NAF. I received a tentative offer for a NAF position but the salary offer is entry level pay and a lot less than what I make as a GS 5. I contacted NAF HR and spoke to the individual who is responsible for making salary offers for all positions and was told that I have to start at entry level pay because of education requirements but I do have experience. The job description said education and/or experience. I thought that as long as I do not have a break in service, then my pay should be matched. I've been a GS employee for almost 5 years now. Does anyone know whether not my pay should be close to what I make now?

Almost a month later - no reply. Seems this board is dying.
