There should be a contact on the CJO, at the bottom of the page. Reach out to them.

Hi Alaska!

I'm a May 2020 applicant and I got the P3 invite on April 30th. But I'm on the East Coast and I've read in this forum that sometimes location matters regarding when P3 is scheduled. Early in the Spring I was curious so I emailed the generic IA applicant email (the one they say to email if you have questions) and kindly asked if they had an idea of when my FO might be scheduling P3 and they gave me a response pretty quickly. So you could maybe try that if you like. I know I was worried that it would be a year out like others experienced in this forum so having their answer in mind was comforting while I waited/hoped for an invite. Fingers crossed you'll be getting your invite soon!

I recall someone posting that the remaining 2021 Q classes are full, does anyone have any actual verification that the 2021 are actually full? My point of contact has no knowledge of whether they are full or not. I am needing to renew my apartment lease and am currently at a loss on what to do!

When did you apply and at what point in the process are you? Chances are that will cause the longer timeframe than whether or not classes are open this year.

My understanding is that within the 20-30 slots (I was told 20; someone else was told 28; not sure which is correct or if both are) open for IAs each class, a certain amount are allocated by specialty (e.g. cyber, etc.). I was told Dec and Jan were open and that August and Sept I'd have to go on standby (at least, for my specialty). I would say if you didn't apply in the 2018 cycle, there's a very good chance you won't get in until 2022 unless you get called at the last minute to fill in for someone who dropped. But take that with a grain of salt because things change quickly.

Hi everyone, new to posting but I figured I would update on my timeline. Hopefully it helps! I applied in April 2020, took exams in August 2020 (I had previously applied in 2017 and passed Phase II). I was invited to interview in early December 2020. Received a CJO in early February 2021. I had my poly in early March 2021, fingerprints and drug test in early April 2021, and two days ago so mid May 2021 received a phone call that I was in adjudication and passed background (yes I was only in background for 3 months)! I was told that the June and August classes are completely filled. There are still a couple of spots available for September however, due to COVID they are still not allowing anyone to leave the grounds, which means spending the holidays alone (they didn't expect the restrictions to be lifted anytime soon). So they are giving you the option to accept September or wait for a later class date with possibly more lenient restrictions. There is a class scheduled for both December and January that they are currently filling. Hope this helps to answer any questions!

Here are some other answers that I know people have asked previously. My credit was pulled end of March, and my contacts/references were contacted a few days after my drug test!

Hi I applied in January 2020. I have been in background for about 3-4 months, but my point of contact keeps telling me "it is coming along nicely... with a few checks remaining". From what I know, references, neighbors, and employers have all been contacted. While I realize my timeline to a Q date is more likely to happen in 2022, I also do not want to get stuck trying to break a lease.

I definitely get that. I actually just moved in with a friend and put most of my stuff in storage so I didn’t have to worry about breaking a lease and so the majority of my belongings would already be ready for a move. I know all our backgrounds are different but my signature gives how long I’ve been in the process. I studied and traveled overseas though so maybe that’s slowing them down. And maybe you just have faster investigators, lot of factors at play here. If you have a friend you can move in with I’d try for that, but otherwise you’re gonna have to sign somewhere because I would anticipate that even if they move quickly you wouldn’t be at Q at least until winter.

I'm on a similar timeline as @305Esquire and @caches23. Hoping we all move through as quickly as caches!

CJO: February 2021
Poly/Prints/Credit Pulled: April 2021
(Some) References Contacted: May 2021

Does anyone know if the investigators try to contact all of the references or do they just kind of pick and choose who they need to talk to during their investigation?

It's been about 3 weeks since I took my poly and was told by the administrator that I didn't pass. Since then I have not heard anything and my application still shows background review in progress. Is it worth reaching out to someone to confirm if I am indeed out of the running?

I was just told today that my background is being sent to adjudication tomorrow. Does anyone have any insight into this? My contact stated it would take a minimum of 21 days, but i figured it would be much longer before I am even offered a class date.

Anybody hear any projected dates for the 2021 vacancy yet? The last I heard was that it may be this fall.

So I’m the idiot that got my first ever traffic violation while in background. Got an infraction for rolling a freeway on ramp red light/stop. Do I need to call someone and tell them? I don’t know who my background investigator is because my family and friends haven’t been contacted yet, but I can contact the one admin person that’s been guiding me. Do I need to do that? And how screwed am I? SOS.

@FreeLocke, I don't think you should stress it too much.
Just let someone know and they probably just update your file with the incident.

Reached out to my HR contact at the end of May and he just stated the BI is out of his hands and in HQ.

Any one else have any updates?
