Just received notice that I am Ineligible. First thing I have heard since the assessments in April. Any advice on appealing? I am a vet with nine years of anti-money laundering investigations experience and only a bachelors degree. I am very disappointed. Thank you.

Maybe you aren't eligible for the grade that you applied to?

I applied to both 7 and 9. I guess I just didn't size up but being declared Ineligible doesn't sound right. Good thought, though! Also, good to know about December. Thanks!

Thanks! Confirmed. Ineligible for 7 and 9. I guess you must've been a tax collector prior to becoming a 7, I guess? Whatever...onward to the next long process. Good luck to all! Congrats to those who made it.

I was referred to a selecting official as Best Qualified for my second location choice. Is there any possibility that I can still get hired for my first choice? Assuming I interview well off course!
Thanks,

Thanks, I interviewed for ALL my locations and a few weren't hiring my GS grade so hang in there and just interview for the practice!

Good luck to all! Congrats to those who made it. Just appeal it detailing EVERYTHING and explaining how you interpreted the announcement. I've done that several times and it was overturned.

Why are you external vs internal if you already work within the IRS?

Why are you external vs internal if you already work within the IRS? I interpreted the post as they are a Federal Employee from a different agency, so it isn't the same as IRS internal.

My external app said ineligible as I failed the ROSA AFTER I had interviewed for ALL my internal places AND accepted the job offer. After I appealled they reversed it saying there was something wrong with the testing software. Just appeal it and go from there.

Why are you external vs internal if you already work within the IRS? If you’re internal you can. Apply to both posting. Sometimes if you’re a vet you’re better off to sometimes better to apply externally even if your internal.

Hello have you received an invite for equip yet. I was fingerprinted and picture taken last week

Received a tentative offer last week, submitted on boarding and went through fingerprints. Just waiting on the firm offer. Anyone know if we can request a salary match after signing the firm offer? I was told they would not offer a salary match for the external announcement.

I was given salary match as an external federal (non-irs) applicant. The firm offer had my matched salary. If you are not already a federal employee..I don't think they will match. I could be wrong though.

That’s who I asked and it was quickly done as an external. Just make sure your sf50 is uploaded to your documents.
