I am getting nervous. Recieved cjo in feb2021, did my drug screening a month later. Since, didn't get anything else. I was reading the website for careers, and it said you need to fill out sf86 but idk if I do that first or if cpc is suppose to reach out first?

I am just getting worried because in my cjo it said I have one year to get cleared or my cjo gets revoked. And I know the security process can take one year. Anyone else in same boat?

Thanks

Although many have reported being in the "hiring pool" for over a year, nobody has ever said they had to re-do security... at least not on these forums.

You should have a contact # on your CJO - I'd suggest reaching out to them. Your file is still with OHR (Office of Human Resources) and the good folks at the Central Processing Center (CPC) should be reaching out to have you complete a bunch of forms, including the SF86. Don't start doing it on your own because there are different versions and OHR/CPC will direct you as to which one you need to use.

Just have it ready, start now because they love to call you when you least expect and have the SF86 done in 2 days. I told them to give me 2 weeks because at the time I was on military orders.

Just do it now and save yourself a headache.

Just wanted to give an update: I was asked to do another drug test earlier this week, and then I was contacted yesterday by an HR employee that asked for my updated documents because she’s preparing an FJO for me! If it’s in the DMV I’m going to accept. I’ll check back in once I know more!

(Also: I emailed them a few weeks ago asking the hiring pool for another update and they said they’d send my email along to the Analysis Hiring Pool “POC” who I’m assuming is the one who distributes résumés to the hiring managers. They must’ve prioritized my résumé or something. Just a tip for any of you still waiting for an analysis FJO who’ve been at this a LONG time (comparably to other people with analysis CJOs) like me!)

Just received my CJO.
Is it normal to be offered two different series, grade, and step in one CJO?
GG-07, step 06
GG-11, step 08

Also couldn't find much info about S&T here, anyone have any insights? I'm assuming it's more acquisition focused.

I completed my CPC appointments in early April and already have the required clearance, yet haven't been "cleared" and put into the hiring pool. When I reached out to the contact on the CJO about a month ago, they didn't provide anything useful. Has anyone experienced it taking this long to be cleared and put into the hiring pool when you already have the required clearance or a different point of contact I could reach out to? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

April 2021? Not that long a wait yet, although I've heard of some folks in a similar situation who did get 'cleared' pretty quickly. But good luck trying to get in touch with anyone, much less get any useful info.

Yeah, it was April 2021. I've also heard of people in a similar situation who got cleared the same month they went to the CPC, that's why I am confused as to why I am taking longer. Thanks, I feel like I'll get nowhere; no one has been of much help during this process.

Congratulations, RedLeader...!!! It's great to see you onboarding and moving on. Fills us all with hope. :)

On my side, some interesting clarifications about the hiring pool that might explain the silence and delays for many of us: Although I got the "Congratulations! You're cleared and in the hiring pool" email back in February, it turns out that no one in my career field touched my resume or started circulating it until June due to COVID issues (yes, four MONTHS since I was told I was in the pool, haha). The folks in my career field that I've spoken with since are wonderful - Very approachable, responsive, and well-informed about the process. They were happy to answer all of my questions, which more than made up for the last year and a half of near-silence. However, I imagine there's probably a significant backlog of applicants in the hiring pool, so I don't expect any quick movement.

Anyway, even if I have to wait another year for a FJO, I feel much better about the process now and I'm content to wait.

I wanted to extend some info to those in the CI hiring pool, so you do not make the same mistake as I did. I was under the impression that I, like other career fields, would be given two job offers. This assumption led to me being removed from the hiring pool altogether. In several of the career fields you are only given one offer. Make sure to communicate with HR to see if that is the case or not. I'm now back to square one in the process of getting hired.

Not only does it vary by hiring pool, it varies by time. That is, at certain times people may not be offered a second chance in ANY career field.

That's why it is such a risky move to pass on the first offer

Hi everyone. There isn't a lot of S&T here so I wanted to give an update of my experience through the hiring pool. I was part of the August 2020 Hiring Event - Science and Technology Career Field. Overall, my process was relatively quick compared to a lot of other people here. I don't know if that is true for a lot of S&T people, or mine was an exception.

CJO: Aug 2020
Drug Test: Sep 2020
BI starts: Oct 2020
Poly date scheduled: Nov 2020
Poly/CPC completed: Mar 2021
Adjudication: Mar 2021
Prospective hiring call #1: Apr 2021
Prospective hiring call #2: May 2021
Resume request: Jun 2021
FJO: Jun 2021
Start date: Aug 2021

Hey guys! long time lurker, first time poster here. Adding additional info for S&TI folks. August 2020 ACF hiring event hire.

CJO: August 2020 (All-Source and S&TI offers)
Drug test: Oct 2020
Complete silence until I emailed them to ask why I hadn't gotten contacted by security yet (Feb 2021)
Drug test: Feb 2021 (I assume my paperwork was lost for a period of time, since most folks from the hiring event were doing their eqip in October/Nov)
Eqip: March 2021
On-site/poly: April 2021
Adjudication: July 2021
Resume request from hiring pool: July 2021
FJO: ????????????

Overall, I am pretty bummed, knowing that my eqip to cleared time was so fast and I would probably (maybe) have a FJO and start date if they had gotten me started in line with other folks from my event. That said, only being a few weeks out from adjudication, I know I'm not even close to "worry territory" yet. Would be really helpful if anyone in the S&TI world could give some info on how long their offers took to come, so I'll definitely update when I get mine. Any words of encouragement are appreciated. Feeling pretty anxious, and if I jump any higher every time I get a phone call or an email im going to end up in my upstairs neighbors apartment.

Only thing I can offer is that comparing your timeline to others can only lead to frustration. Hang in there, sounds like everything is still moving along, and don't forget there are no doubt other people who are processing more slowly than you are.

Is it necessary to keep my DIAjobs account active?

Mine went inactive and was deleted somewhere along the way in my hiring process, but now that im in the cleared pool, does it even matter? I recreated it, but it doesn't have my hiring event info anymore, and don't know if I need to let the hiring pool know.
