My husband died a few years ago. He was a retired federal employee and I get survivor benefits from him. I also am a federal worker who is thinking about retiring soon. Has anyone else been in this situation? I was wondering if anyone knows if I will get 2 checks - 1 for survivor benefits and my own retirement check OR if OPM will combine the 2 into one check. Thanks!

I called OPM about this and just in case anyone else wants to know the answer, I was told that you will get 2 checks. Both are kept separate.
