I was a captain in the airforce with approx. 12 yrs of service before i was forced shaped. With BAH & BAS my annual income was approx. 80k. The job I was performing changed over to the NSPS system at a YA-02. My current pay is approx 56k. Is there anything in the NSPS that would allow me to maitain my previous pay as a captain in the airforce including my BAH and BAS? I understand this is a military benefit, yet I also understand that this is still within the YA-02 pay scale. Help!!!

As far as I can tell, and from what I've seen, I can say I'm 99% sure, the answer is NO. If you dont negotiate a higher pay rate, there is no way to keep the same pay.

I know of quite a few captains who are now in the GS-11-ish pay area and make less.
