I have just been approved for disability retirement (CSRS).

I am on OWCP. Now what? From reading this board
I was told to apply for disability retirement even though I am on OWCP. I know I can only be on one of course it will be OWCP, but how do I
let them know I want to stay on OWCP. I called
a phone number they gave me when my disability was approved. It was Washington D.C. OPM.
I asked the lady on the phone what I have to do
and she said to write a letter to OPM letting them know I don't want the disability but want to stay on OWCP. She just didn't sound as if she
was sure what to do. Can anyone help me.

of your completed disability retirement application, there should have been a block to check to continue to receive OWCP in lieu of the retirement. Check yours prior to doing anything, as you may not need to do anything. If you didn't check the block, then notify both OPM and OWCP of your election.
